I'm ashamed to be a part of this community..
You guys are pissed because of how the SS thing worked out? You're basically bullying the company for actually doing something different. You want to go back to RNG for everything? Half of you would be complaining about Boolean Gemini, Ace of Spade, Etc etc. Bungie tried something new and you slapped them in the face for it.
On behalf of this community, I am sorry, Bungie. I love EVERYTHING about this DLC. Thank you. Deej. Cosmo. Everyone. Thank you for making year two amazing so far!

As for the ones defending the hunt for the Sleeper Simulant, nobody twisted your arm to look HOURS AND HOURS. You could have just done what some of us did... Wait until someone else found it. What do you get out of finding it right away? A rushed set of content and bragging right. Kuddos to you. It's like buying a new car. Sure, you may have it before some others but eventually, that car becomes common and it's not so special, now is it? I have three brothers who play more Destiny than I do and they haven't even gotten one of the Relics needed to start the quest. Be thankful you even had the chance. Others aren't so lucky.
Being a kiss ass? Nah bruh. It's called being supportive. Accepting change and being patient. That's a trait some of you will never understand with Bungie trying to do good with this DLC. For those who did waste your time and are complaining about it, there is no sympathy. That was your own free will.

I wholeheartedly agree. I couple days ago I went off on some dude when in reply to the sleeper simulant guide, he wrote, so you have to wait one day for the gunsmith to respond? And it was a rage type reply not just a simple reply nor a sarcastic one. It's like, damn it's one effn day, it's so damn stupid to actually get worked up and then take the trouble to reply about it for one day. A lot of these players need to keep things in context and remember this still is a game.

I love all the new stuff, but have found the time gate annoying. I mainly pvp and want the dune marchers so bad. No one has them which is frustrating knowing the best pvpers titan exotic is unobtainable.

4 RispostePersonally I don't care for the SS so it didn't bug me but I see where people are coming from. For over a month Bungie hyped and teased that the SS would be this long drawn out puzzle that would require uncovering secrets in the dreadnought and be this grand old treasure hunt basically. When people couldn't find anything everyone kind of rallied behind this search for it and it became a community wide effort to figure out the "puzzle". As it turns out it was a time released quest that was simple to complete and involved even more grinding to get it. Understandably people are mad because Bungie, through the information they released and the way they released it about the SS, led people to believing one thing and then in one moment singlehandedly invalidated all the work some people put in to figure out the "puzzle". That's why people are mad, not because they are demanding Bungie to do things a certain way, but because Bungie, as it has in the past, led the community to believe one thing and then did something completely different to the surprise of many

I like the idea that you get many exotics with quests and not every quest give you an exotic (example: Black Spindle in contrast to the Paradox mission). It is really fun. But the execution on the Sleeper Simulant was sub par. It didnt live up to its hype. Dont get me wrong, the weapon is pretty sweet (although the feeling of the weapon isnt the best). But the quest could have been better. The mission had no voice acting and no explanation. I was excited to go on this adventure but at the same time i was like "Why am i doing this? How does this fit in the world?". The second flaw are the codes. Where in the world is a connection between the way Knights spawn and a device obviously not made by either of these. Had Rasputin called them? I see no connection and its a purely mechancal reason. Its somewhat lazy riddle design. And the third and final flaw is the length of the mission. Compare it to the sword quests. The sword quests takes you some time to complete (partly because you have to wait for armsday). After i completed it i felt like i had accomplished something. The Sleeper Simulant quest was over before it really started. At least that is the way i felt it. I think a big reason for the disappointment is that the Sleepers Simulant was way overhyped. Partly because of the Gaminformer article and partly because the community was way too excited. So in conclusion: The quest didnt live up to its hype and the riddle was way too disconnected from the world. Please bungie make more riddles like this. But please make make them part of the world. And please please please never make a mission without voiceacting. You did a great job with TTK with a good storytelling and you kind of took 2 steps back with the first Sleepers Simulant mission. TL:DR: Good Idea with the quesst, lacks in execution

I didnt even bother looking for it because i play mmos and i know how they work and how not everything is open day one. I play WoW a lot an many of the legendaries are locked behind time gates
