TL;DR- If you're depending on this for information, you're not going to get any. Read the post. I hate to be that person regurgitating what other people have already said, but we already have an all pink shader. It would be very easy to make a different one, but there's a difference between disaster and a medical issue. The Nepal shader was a gift to those who donated to a natural disaster. If there's another catastrophe, they may do it again, they may not. Cancer as a whole is pretty bad. I've had several family members die from it, and a few still in recovery. But most of that was from skin cancer, and not breast cancer. Why? Because breast cancer is highly survivable compared to other forms of cancer, until Stage 4. I'm saying that as someone who actually had a family member unfortunately die from breast cancer, or rather complications afterwards. That doesn't change the survival percentage. Here is my gripe. Why just breast cancer? Why not some super red shader, for Aids day on December 1? Why not some bright lime green shader for Muscular Dystrophy? Of which there are hundreds of variations and just like cancer, if you are born with a super bad one you are guaranteed to die before you turn twenty. Where was your post for a teal shader in September for PCOS/Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome Awareness Month, which among other symptoms, increases a women's risk of cervical cancer, which also has it's own awareness month in January? Oh that's right, breast cancer awareness month is the popular one people flock to every year. Forget the other ailments of the world, because most people are ignorant to them anyway. Your heart is in the right place, but your mind isn't. If we have one for breast cancer, we should have one for every other disease we can think of. Google PCOS. Google (Duchenne) Muscular Dystrophy. PCOS is just plain bad, but Duchene KILLS, just like cancer, but only after making someone's life hell for 16 years. [spoiler]I'm bias. I admit that. I have PCOS. My younger brother? He died at the ripe age of 16, from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Most people don't know, or don't care, about these two other diseases, and the thousands of others we have floating around. When I see "Breast Cancer! Breast Cancer!" everywhere, all I can think is that yeah, no one really cares.[/spoiler] I just care about everyone. So bring in the hate, entertain me.
