To anyone that's done the raid already, what load out recommendations do you have? I'm still gearing up for it, barely have 290 light but still using a lot of blues...
Any specific weapons or perks I should be on the lookout for?

High impact sniper and hopefully scout

A team that is not a bunch of egotistical a55holes that is the most important.

Modificato da BlanQshot: 9/27/2015 7:42:37 PMAvoid auto rifles. Sure they can mow down red health enemies but have far fetched dps on bosses. Invest in a scout rifle that has a moderate rate of fire and you should be good. Sniper rifle to put some nasty DPS on bosses. 1000 yard stare is a good start. You don't have to buy one. Mainly focus on the taken earth quest and you get one for free I'm not too sure on rockets or MG. I'm sure someone here can provide detail. But make sure all weapons are 290+ and you'll be fine. All else is left is your reaction time, your fireteam capabilities, etc

A scout rifle a sniper and machine gun.

5 RisposteI've made it to daughters with a 297 treads upon stars (scout rifle), 300 stillpiercer (Hunter sniper) and 293 Sol Edge. Took out warpriest first try and killed golgoroth in 5 minutes or so with 1 gaze strat. Super simple. Just have a solid team full of communication and at least 290 light to maximize damage. Daughters and oryx conceptually are very simple they just leave no room for error.

3 RisposteIs hereafter high enough impact for the raid sniper?

4 RisposteModificato da Tortuga: 9/27/2015 7:43:20 PMWatch videos if you don't mind spoilers. There is nothing like playing it but knowing what to do can save a lot of time. Going blond is fun but takes time

If you are a hunter, get gunsmith to rank 2 and complete the quest to receive the Stillpiercer. If you have an exotic sniper rifle, that's even better.
-
Aspirin for headache
-
Doesn't matter, first try I was light lvl 278 on my hunter with a 296 suros and we made it to the witches. It all depends on your skills and your fireteam. Have fun!

Good sniper. That really what you need.
-
A raid completion. You need to have beat the raid to play the raid.
lol satire
If you didn't grab the black spindle, grab the 1000 yard stare you get from the taken war: earth quest line. High impact snipers were key the first time through
-
1 Rispondi290 is a good raid minimum. You could be lower, but it's not worth it to make a hard raid even harder. The sweet spot is 295-300. You need a good sniper. It's important for this raid, so make that your focus. You can go in blind, but watching some good raid guides on youtube will help a lot. And trust me, even after watching the videos you will probably only understand it partly. Actually playing will make it fully clear for you. M

7 RisposteYoutube the full raid. Honestly. Like people call me a dick for saying this but knowing what to do before you attempt something is the way to go. I call it batman-ing

2 Risposte290 light. A sniper. And a machine gun.
-
A good team
-
Snipers are nice if u got 290 light ur good cause by the time u get to oryx it will be much higher. Stillpericer 1000yard stare black spindle those are good. And I found my exotic arc sword extremely usefull for taking knights wizards wardens and such. But u really just need a raid team that won't bail.

1 RispondiHigh impact sniper is a must can't go wrong with 1000 yard stare. You can get I from doing some vanguard quests. A machine gun is also a must any with high damage will do . I was using a 297 blue for awhile till I found better.

high impact sniper and machine gun

high impact sniper, maxed new subclass so you can utilize all of the things that can help, a solid group who will take their time explaining things so you aren't left behind or complained about if things go wrong (I've seen it too often with LFG guys) and maybe a good rocket or MG for quick DPS on ogres in Oryx fight and you'll be set my friend
