ONLY 40 FRAGMENTS NEEDED FOR TOUCH OF MALACE (MAYBE LESS)
I just realized this when i went to orbit after searching for the rest of the calcified fragments and saw i had something waiting for me in the tower. it was the next part of the touch of malice quest (kill the enemy in the black garden) i went back to see how much fragments i had and its 41. i was farming since 27 so it could have easily unlocked it at 30 and not known. just a heads up is all :) :)

No it's 45! It's 30 calcified fragments required to unlock the 2nd part (the undying mind strike) but it's 45 to unlock the 3rd and final part (the fears embrace mission).

No, its 45, I know, I had to wait till weekly reset because the only last one I could get was CoO, I was counting. It's 45, no less.

Need 2 +300 for the fear's embrace mission of the touch of malice quest line. (Last part) send me a mission for inv. (GT same as above)

Final quest unlocks at 45, quest before that is 44. Just saying

You need 35 to get the quest

That's not the end of the quest line. You need 45 before you get the weapon.

It will give you the first part of that quest. The rest of it you need 45 fragments. Happened to me.
