How is Gearscore a good idea

Edit: I know what gearscore is, and how it's calculated. I don't shy away from homework.

It's an ok system, it would be great if it didn't include artifacts, class items, and ghosts. These can be retooled to have niches and have more than a stat for defense. But with the new RNG system, you progressively get better gear, maybe 1-5 defense or attack better, but it is so much better than before.

You mean the new light level thing? I don't know, it's really stupid. Maybe it should have given a bonus but if you're wearing year one gear and are a level 50 you'll get your ass kicked by things weaker than you because of the light level shit.

3 RispostePersonally, I like it because 1) easy to determine if you want to "carry" someone under lvl'd through content. 2) this method encourages experiencing all content so you can climb that GS ladder. Yes it's a grind but all the content makes it fun. Also try did say upfront before the release that your light lvl would be gear dependent.

1 RispondiThe light level is now based off of the average of all your gear. So if you have everything at 250 your light level is 250. Your light level combined with your level dictate the amount of damage/defense you do overall and is used to determine if you are ready for a certain quest/activity or not.

8 RisposteInstead of people looking at your gear one by one, they can just look at your gearscore/light to determine if you aren't geared enough. Literally no difference then how it was before.
