Great. Daily and weekly contents such as Daily story and NF are locked out to us who haven't purchased TTK. Shouldn't you put another Daily and NF playlist to us? We did buy the base game and 2 DLCs, why do you decide to abandon us now?
To defenders. Daily story and NF were available since day 1. The way Bungie do in order to promote TTK is absolutely BS. We did paid them, did we not?
Edit 5: so there's a new wave of arguments saying we don't own any content especially NF because it's a FEATURE. Awesome logic, so now many people can't play the game as usual because Bungie modified a DAY 1 FEATURE on their whim. 95$ well spent
Edit 1: without TTK, we can't reach lv40. Without being lv40, we can't do NF. Waiting for a week doesn't seem to be the solution anymore. Do you people understand my points?
Edit 2: "Stop being poor". Good job finding out my financial situation. /sarcasm
It is nice having a doting parents, ya spoiled brats. Or maybe you don't know there are people waiting for reviews and more info?
Edit 3: seems like many people have comprehension problem. Does your IQ equal your character level (not Light level)? Anyway, no TTK = no daily, weekly or NF, heck even Crucible playlist has been simplified. Way to go Bungie
Edit 4: I believe Bungie employees will not dare to address this problem. However, Desticles are Flooding to defend them (pun intended) like mad. Baaaa!
Edit 6: Please stop assuming I wanted to play TTK without paying. I never said that, all I want is to play whatever I already have access to
PS: This thread reminds me of the heated debate between Apple zealots and others when Steve Jobs said: "You are holding it wrong". Kinda funny because I did participate in that and what happened there is similar here
PS2: JUST BOUGHT TTK. I have gathered enough information to deem the expansion worthy of my money. The second reason is due to locked out contents.
Btw, I an willing to buy the 4th expansion without knowing what is will be about, RIGHT THE HELL NOW. I don't want to be locked out of my already paid contents anymore
PS3: I still fail to see defender's logic. As one of several early adopter (aka beta testing for the whole year), we did support them - 95$ spent in a year. In mere days, we lost access to strikes that scale with our level, Crucible playlist simplified so we can't even choose to play our favourite activity. Also, those who haven't bought TTK are at disadvantages at Trials - a HOW content. A seperate playlist would be a simple yet extremely effective solution. Did Bungie think of that, I believe the answer is yes, but Activi$$ion might said no. Profit >>>> moral, that's their motto afterall.
PS4: Btw, I must clarify something. My post wasn't here because I hate the game or TTK, it was to address a problem: "How fast can Bungievi$ion abandon their customers - in a year (or even less)". The same thing will HAPPEN AGAIN IN THE FUTURE, because you as customers allowed them to do it. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

The nightfall a and faults are all revolves around TTK. Like when the other DLC come out if you didn't have them you couldn't do any of the nightfalls it dailys stop playing or buy the content
-
I read your post and agree with what you're saying. I didn't get a chance to actually see what was missing since I had pre-ordered TTK, but can understand where people that did not buy it would be concerned. It was a bad move on Destiny's part but I guess since this is a 10 year effort they did it in order to keep raking in the cash to keep paying their employees. Forcing people to buy an expansion though by locking out year 1 content is just plan dumb no matter how you slice it, but I can see both sides of the argument. Glad you joined the ranks of TTK though.
-
I was going to wait for reviews before buying TTK, but with this move I've decided not to buy TTK at all. I'm not willing to support a Dev who removes features in order to coerce their customers in to buying DLC.
inb4 I'm too poor, there's a good chance I make more than both of your parents combined, kid
I like how the only ones defending it actually HAVE the TTK.
-
you must have skipped the part where you decided to be a scrub and not save in ADVANCE for the ttk, even the base $40 version... if you know about it and want to keep playing the game and stuff, based on how the other dlc's went... emans you need to quit crying and get the ttk. or keep crying.. your tears save for an eternity and I savor them
-
You must of skipped the terms and conditions

Modificato da Optimus96: 9/17/2015 8:54:39 AMWhats the point having Year 1 Nightfall and Weekly playlists? The whole point of these where to get your Guardian to the level cap or to get better gear too help reach the cap. But, you are locked out of the max level anyways.
-
The fact that you owned the last 2 DLC's shows that you are in the same boat that everyone else was in that didn't buy the DLC. We have had this conversation... 2 times. And to add onto "defending" bungie.... You like to ignore somethings don't you? You complain about Bungie leaving you guys behind, but all your content is easier to obtain. If you wanted a true vanilla experience you would still be a level 30 spending your time at the loot cave and complaining about having nothing to do.

5 Risposte
Before we start let me say first off I am no "Desticle" I have not bought TTK and I have no intention to do so until I see review scores and impressions that make me feel its worth my $40 purchase. So I am missing out on the new content just like you guys are. I don't drink the Kool Aid. I think that $40 for a DLC is a joke even if it is an "Expansion". I personally believe I am one of the most outspoken critics on the forums regarding TTK and its various scandals. Then why am I bothering to post this you ask? Because I believe in fairness and the ranting and raving I am seeing in thread after thread is not fair towards Bungie. It is a HUGE overreaction and the bombastic claims of being robbed of content and being scammed is just downright idiotic. You have not had any missions, strikes, raids, or weapons taken away from you that you have purchased. You can still play all the TDB missions/strikes, HoW missions/strikes and you can certainly still play the vanilla missions/strikes. The same goes for the crucible. You still have every right to play the maps that you have already paid for in the classic playlists in the crucible. The only thing you have been locked out of is new endgame content like Nightfalls, Weeklies, Raid etc etc. That is not content that you bought that is a FEATURE of the game. A feature that centers around the latest content. When you bought TDB you bought the strikes, missions, gear etc etc and the Nightfall then took that content and featured it every week. Now that TTK is the latest content the Nightfall now features THAT content. So no you don't get to do the Nightfall because the Nightfall features new content. Content that you have not paid for. So please stop acting as if Bungie came into your game and pulled all of the missions and gear from your bleeding fingers and pissed on your Ghost. This is how expansion based games have operated for YEARS now. The new expansion comes out with new gear, new missions, and a new level cap. That new content is then featured front and center in every way and the old content is pushed off to the side. WoW, Diablo, SWTOR etc etc have followed this design for years. This is not new and this not shocking. They did it for TDB and they did it for HoW, but they did it on a smaller scale because they were smaller packages. TTK is essentially Destiny 1 part 2. So of course its impact on the day to day functionality of the game is gonna be MUCH more noticeable and much more profound. You paid for content. You got that content. You still have that content. You can still play that content. Features such as the endgame activities however will always be geared toward the latest content and if you don't have that content then you obviouslly cannot participate in the features that use that new content. The same goes for the levelcap as well. You paid for the level-cap to be increased in each of the new DLC's that came out because they were TIED to that content and you need that gear in order to REACH that new cap. They have now raised it again and have tied that cap to the new gear. Gear you don't have access to because you have not paid for it yet. So of COURSE the Vendors are going to be selling the latest and greatest gear. Do you honestly think that they should still be selling old level Vanilla gear like Shadow Price or The Devil You Know even though its been outclassed ages ago? I understand that you are upset that your options are limited now because the content you bought is no longer featured, but don't sit their and claim that it is no longer there or that you no longer have access to it. Because it is and you do.
Why would you want to do them? All you'd get is a currency you wouldn't be able to spend?
-
Modificato da Cubby Boy Jr: 9/17/2015 2:38:11 AMPlaying Devil's advocate here, try not to get too salty. Why would Bungie halt the natural progression of the game because people don't want to continue supporting them? Every other DLC the level requirement was increased on the Nightfall, it was only a matter of time before vanilla players couldn't play it. Also, there's no point in progressing level-wise and earning marks if the gear you have is already strong enough to allow you to play the content you own. With the Crucible, they simply combined 5 playlists into 3, they didn't remove any content. Why would they damage the Crucible experience of their paying customers because some people (who had already decided not to continue supporting Bungie) wanted the old Crucible modes to be separated into more playlists?
-
None of us ever owned the base game let alone any dlc. We bought a licence to play the game. A license that bungie can change or take away at their whim. What I dont get is why in the hell you would still be playing this game without new content. How can people still go through the same tired ass content, most of which was well below par. Ttk basically took a giant Cleveland steamer on all of year 1. Suck it up and buy it, chances are youll love it.
-
Well said fellow guardian
-
LoL. When I got to the end of your post I was like "thank goodness he bought it. Now he can see how great the game is becoming."
-
Hmmm. Interesting thread. I will favorite for later. I don't no how I feel about NF and playlist being locked out for non buyers. It IS supposed to be an incentive to my the Year 2 content but people DID pay for the game. What I can definitively say is that the expansion is worth the $40 price tag. Pick it up if you have the money. I feel sorry for those who don't have the money.

56 RisposteDefending this game is like defending hitler
-
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
-
They're no longer available as activities because their rewards are exclusive to TTK. The content you played originally is still there to be played, but you cannot screw end game items through endgame activities if you have purchased the latest expansion.
-
Mimimimimimi why you complaining about this? If you dont like it sell your game and finish! Please dont cry around and let them do their thing! If its not yours - its your problem, not theirs!
-
You wouldn't stand a chance as a level 35, be thankful you can even still play
