Edit 3: from my experience in the crucible it's more like 85% shotguns, 14% snipers and 1% sidearms is that one guy playing just to mess with others
Edit 4: I think some people are confused.... no, the Felwinters, matador, party crasher, are NOT (tagged as) snipers.

I used to use shotguns, but for the past couple of months i've been sniping. Yesterday I was trying to play crucible but every map I would get rushed with a shotgun, and I couldn't do anything about it. I got really mad yesterday because of that crap.

I use Sidearm in anything but Mayhem. That sidearm is meant to melt shotgun users before they get in range, granted those long range shotguns don't care about range to terribly much you can still kill them in the medium range before they get close.

Up until recently I almost exclusively used shotguns as a secondary, but I'm kinda getting into sniping at the moment.

Depends on the map, but Invective is my go-to. Was murdered too many times going for or being empty on special ammo.

Used to play with shotguns all the time before the shot package And insane range shotguns but now I find them pathetic so I use snipers

That said, I've always kinda liked Shotguns, ever since beta. They allow me to keep my mobility. Now with 2.0 they get a little more elbow room. Especially since Hakke Sidearms have higher Muzzle Velocity.

Especially the new dlc maps they have soooo many corners the new maps are begging people to use shotguns. Now if they actually made big open maps like the ones that they put on a 1% chance of getting without a specific game mode that is not permanent and their are only two maps that are like that then it would be different.
