Bungie just take thorn out
Being 2 shot by a poison hand cannon is rediculous. Even more so when an entire team is using it. I dont believe your polls saying the most used weapon types are auto rifles its hand cannons specifically thorn, in fact id wager thorn makes up for more than half of the hand cannon kills. You guys dont how to tweak guns or balance things in pvp

You can't have a competitive multiplayer when you can only use one class of weapons for each slot to even stand a chance and even then so only a hand full of each weapon in those slots. Yah all these other guys can go out and speak ill of people because they still complain about thorn but honestly it's been months since crucible has become a giant thorn orgy and they still haven't done anything to change that? I'm not saying they should nerd thorn or nerf hand cannons in the next update like they are but i am saying that the new weapon balances should have came out long ago not with the TTK. And i know people are going to say i just suck a pvp or some other things but eh i've gone to the lighthouse multiple times so i'm not just complaining because "i suck" or whatever. It's just common sense that if a game has one go to weapon for a majority of pvp'ers then theres something horribly wrong. Also not to mention that a team of titans can non stop pop titan shields the whole game. Destiny pvp is just a joke in general in all honesty. I'd just steer clear of it until it gets better.

2 RisposteThorn isn't even OP. I don't even see thorn that often (I have it and use it occasionally). Even in trials. A lot of people use the messenger or last word or hopscotch pilgrim. Shotguns... Final round snipers... Rockets (omg they one shot you, op!!!!!!)

Seeing as how you dont know how to spell *ridiculous* shows me that you shouldnt be acknowledged and the fact that you said "just take thorn out". Lets define this word that is going to be applied to the gun "nerfed". The word "nerfed", if looked up in the urban dictionary means to make something pointless whereas before it was productive. Please reasearch before you make obtuse comments like this one.

1. No, its not ridiculous. 2. Its going to be nerfed in 2 days. 3. You have whole teams using it because Bungie took ARs and nerfed them into the ground....and the exotic hand cannons were the best option in terms of keeping shotgun rushers honest. If ARs get the substantial buff that Bungie has promised...and Thorn (and hand cannons in general) the promised nerf...when Patch 2.0 drops on Tuesday: Thorn is going to suddenly become a lot less popular and a lot less dominant.

13 RisposteThey simply need to remove the DoT. A DoT on a bullet carries no risk with high rewards, they have no place in a PvP environment. If people claim Thorn is there to keep shields down, then instead of a DoT, have it suppress the recovery of the target for x seconds. Don't like that? You must want free kills from DoT.

Final round is just stupid. Why don't we take out all the subclasses aswell?

10 RisposteI think this was a reddit post where I read this on but a few people did a study on something like 5000 trials matches and found that the winning team's 51% of the time were using the thorn. This number might seem low but remember it's winning teams and they also show percentages for the last word at I think 12% and fel winters lie at 14%. with just three weapons the percentages already add up to 77% of all weapons in game used to WIN in the trials of osiris. So that means they also threw in the bad juju, the red death, the messenger, any other hand cannon or good exotic, and these weapons were well below the double digit percentile. Bungie updated the iron banner and crucible outfitters with bounties that encouraged people to use Auto Rifles. With this inflamation of people using the auto rifles to get bounties done bungie then used those numbers to falsely assume that auto rifles were overused. Thus further nerfing them out of the game and making the thorn and last word almost untouchable. It was only until the pulse rifle update that any weapon REALLY stood a chance against either of those two weapons.
