I personally don't like it. I find the gameplay to repetitive and boring.
I'm actually surprised that this game is "Game of the Year".

I liked it, plays just like the older games with much bigger areas to explore.

You play Destiny, and you think Dragon Age is repetitive? Seek professional help
u be -blam!-ed up
Modificato da joey big guns: 8/30/2015 9:14:32 AMI liked it but I also played Origins and DA2.

You fool!!! That game is a trap!! Newcomers stay the heck away from dragon age and mass effect!!! They are too boring for normal people!!! Or people that actually like gameplay. Like monster hunter. Bloodborne, or super Mario. (That's right. Mario has more real gameplay features than bioware titles. Skill needed. Ohh. Them skills. Never a full moment.).

Reads title and nothing more* GUD LUCK

1 RispondiHmm let's see. I beat the game, so here's what I think: + Graphics and art style are great (just beautiful at times) + Lot's of loot + Characters are pretty good design and depth-wise + Varied locations that are quite large - Overflowing with meaningless, repetitive fetch quests and the like - Underwhelming boss fight and ending +/- combat is a hit or miss I liked what I played, but it's not an amazing game.

Agreed. Not my kind of game.

I found Dragon Age Inquisition to be quite awful to be honest. It had a very buggy launch with graphical glitches galore. Most choices in the game seemed redundant and didn't even affect anything anyway. There's practically no impact on the game world once so ever except for a handful of decisions you have to make. The characters are for the most part awful, and most seem as if they were taken directly from some 14 year old Tumblr girls page. The end boss fight was disappointing to say the least. None of the choices you made, except for one, made the boss fight any different. It's always the same circumstances and same fight. The game itself played like a poorly made MMO wannabe. None of the quests offered any variation, always the same, and none made any impact. All in all I found that many indie titles that came out that year deserved game of the year more then DAI, but since it was triple A it basically got the title.

I enjoyed the game despite the repetitive combat. I had my motley crew of Sera, Iron Bull and Dorian, so the dialog was priceless. But yes, the combat was very same-y all the way through. Once I unlocked a few key talents, I used those constantly. Removing the healer Mage tree was also kind of weird. It did free up a party member and allowed support mages to buff and deal damage, but it felt like an odd departure from the mainline RPG elements the game usually stuck to. It opens up a little more on PC as you aren't limited to the handful of abilities you can map to the buttons. In DA:O, you could always whip out lesser used abilities from the menu (on consoles), but I never did find a way to do that in Inquisition. That said, Origins is still the best in the series IMHO. It's actually one of a very small number of medieval games I truly like. In a weird way, I almost have to agree that Inquisition was almost too open. With entire zones that had nothing to do with the main plot, or even the side plots. If you're a DA lore junky, those zones are gold mines. I also never liked Orlais, not sure why, but the lore always bored me to tears and about 3/4 of Inquisition takes place there and the main plot involves a lot of Orleasian interaction. Fortunately the outlying areas of Orlais were far more interesting to me. I think it was a lot better than DA2, but they pulled a lot of characters from the second game and I felt like they wanted me to not forget about that awful mess of a game. Overall I did like Inquisition. The character interaction and some of the exploration elements helped me get past the parts of the game I didn't like as much. So I can totally see your point. But if you can find other aspects of the game that are enjoyable, it's probably worth a second look.

Combats lame but it offers a lot to do.

3 RisposteJust remember it was it or destiny for GOTY

1 RispondiI was a big fan of Origins but the series has gone downhill since then. After playing The Witcher 3, Bioware is really going to have to step their game up.
-
1 RispondiWhat class did you choose
-
4 RisposteLet me ask a question then. Have you ever played a dragon age game before now?
-
3 RisposteAre you still in the hinterlands because it gets better when you start going to different areas.

1 RispondiShadow of Mordor was GOTY....

I was gonna buy it as well but then I decided to buy Eso , that I regret buying though
-
I enjoyed DA:I. If you didn't like it though, you might wanna stay away from the witcher 3. I could see how someone could compare those titles and say they are similar.

Personally I just like it for its story and characters. I didn't find the combat bad nor appealing, though the combat is a tad different from classes.
