So Bungie eliminated another thing from the game that was never a threat in the first place and that no one really considered an exploit.
Since when did anyone feel forced to play nightfall? Bullsht.
Obviously why wouldn't one begin the week with nightfall when one can use that buff for factions and bounties? Bungie made foolish excuse to make us grind more.
Bungie said they would make up for that xp but please since when did anyone trust their crap anymore? How many unbroken things had bungie "fixed" just to lie to us and make us grind. You are all sheeps if you think bungie will keep all of their promises.

Do you even read shit? Or do you just read the title then jump on here and bitch?? GTFOi. For -blam!-s sake, you shits probably bitch cause the sky is blue.
-
They didn't really say it was an exploit they just didn't want players to feel obligated to do it. I didn't see anyone complain about doing it though which seems a little stupid for them to change it completely, from the looks of it though i think they are changing the entire way you gain reputation.
-
What? They never stated that it was an exploit, they felt like people were being forced to play it as early as possible so as to not lose any of the buffer. No where in their post did they say it was an exploit.
-
10 RisposteNo, what they want to stop is people feeling like they have to do the nightfall first before anything else after weekly reset. So they're removing the buff, and increasing XP earned for all other activities. I like the change, but hey, that's just me.
-
Dude chill out, they said this is just a temporary solution until they find a better way to reimplement the weekly buff. Read more than just the headers on the weekly update :T
-
Never really liked the nighfalls before i took a break. Was nothing but getting coins, ascendant materials or repeat gear. So i dont really care about the buff
-
3 RisposteIt's a bit bothersome that completion of their activities in a timely manner is "not how they intended". What do you intend? They say XP gain will be raised to compensate but I wonder if it will be the full amount. They say they want to take another look at the buff. Okay but will that take 2+ months like the rest of your fixes?
-
Guess they didn't like their own current meta. I did enjoy having 24.5% (or w/e it is) extra xp and reputation though. I just hope as they have mentioned that they will be actually increasing it to accommodate for the lack of nightfall buffs in the future. When I finish a bounty I still want 125 instead of 100. But I don't think that's going to happen, it'll probably only be 110 or something :/
-
I'm fine without the xp buff. They were right how you always tried to do nightfall as quick as you can during the week so you can benefit in the faster weapon and armor leveling.
-
3 RisposteThey said everything was gonna give more xp to compensate. So you guys not read?
-
6 RisposteBungie will always, always, nerf or reduce things that allow players to progress quicker then they'd like. Simple really to keep the grind real.
-
It doesn't matter to me, I'll still do the nightfall before anything because that's what I've been doing for almost a year.
-
I don't really see what the problem is. the buff hardly increases any rep gains for me, only reason I ever did nightfall was to an exotic or legendary, for use or for scrap.
-
I did. When I turn on Destiny on reset day, the first thing I'm doing is the Nightfall. I don't turn in any bounties or do the weekly, because I want the rep boost. All this is doing is decreasing that pressure some feel to do it that first day.
-
I think it was kind dumb kinda gave me a reason to run the nightfall in the first place
-
I'm cool with that. Now I don't feel obligated to do nightfall to play the rng game. On e you get everything you want, you can choose the activities you like. I always feel like I had to get the nightfall buff, because if I didn't, my rep and xp wouldn't go up as much, and leveling items would be slower.
-
I agree with their reasoning. I felt like I always had to do nightfall on Tuesday to get the most out of it. I don't even think it's needed. Weapons and armor are enough of a reward.
-
4 RisposteThey want us to buy the red bull codes again and again to get that exp boost + add more game time to their grindfest. Until they figure out what to do with the nightfall boost. It would make me upset they they turn the so call boost into some kind of playstation store item boost we have to buy or something .
-
1 RispondiWhat if the buff just lasted for 7 days as soon as you got it? So it wouldn't matter when you ran nightfall.
-
1 RispondiThey didn't like how we were playing the game, AGAIN, so they are going to drop the ball, AGAIN, and redesign something else in the game that actually worked at launch, AGAIN. Nothing new here, we're still playing it wrong guys
-
I most certainly didn't do jack shit until I got the buff. They're adding in Enemy race specific drops like the Glimmer items that work for Exp as welll as the part where Class Items give more Vanguard/Crucible rep (which translates to the PvE/PvP bounties, upon turning them in it'll go into your aligned Faction if you have pledged to one) and Weapon XP. It's a great thing, including the Account wide Heroic Playlist.
-
I never cracked bounties till I did the nightfall. I also didn't care about the rewards I was getting. Just wanted the xp boost. I'm happy with the decision.
-
3 RisposteDrop rates are increasing Rep rate is increasing Specific missions to get specific items are happening Weekly is being replaced by a strike list that's more rewarding the first 3 times you run it. I mean it's not that hard to understand. I think all the changes they are making are a way for us to grind how we want to. Pvp bounties will pay off. I heard Osiris bounties may be a thing. Shit sounds pretty awesome to me. I fail to see where slightly more xp or ( the buff) Is really all that needed considering all the changes. Convince me.
-
People felt forced to play the NF early? Excuse me, no ones forced to do shit. How does removing the XP buff make any sense at all??
-
Mother f uckers need to have double xp weekends or double xp holidays or some shit... You hit a new level, xp consumable/buff should be available to use at your pleasure. If you unlock perks on a hand cannon like send it or extended mag you should not have to grind out those perks for another hand cannon. they should be available for use on your skill tree without having to grind the -blam!- out of a skill you are familiar with. So you could possible get a new weapon with skills unlocked but only available after you build up to it on your skill tree. Grabs crotch... Drops the mic

1 RispondiWe were forced to play the nightfall EARLY to get the most out of the buff and this is NOT WHAT BUNGIE INTENDED FOR THE BUFF. They are INCREASING exp and rep gains ((by 25% probably)) to make up for removing the nightfall buff. The nightfall is still there with the slim exotic chances, just, we don't get the 25% buff because now it's being implemented as a buff to the base gains anyways.
