Strike

No retarded commentary, mostly just gameplay. Just the way I like it. I love you planet destiny! This is how new content should be first revealed and then add on people and personalities to further expand and entertain.
Datto did a great job also. Has his and other two players perspectives. Also looked around areas.

1 RispondiOn the SUROS sight he mouses over... "Highlights enemy guardians who have a charged Super, and powerful minions of the Darkness" whoah!

5 RisposteYeah, Datto and MoreConsole have given a much better representation of the Strike and MoreConsole let's us indulge in the first story mission which is almost horror-like which I love! The stream yesterday was terrible. Very bland, that idiot Mr Fruit or whatever his name is was dreary and lazy as he skipped fights which is one of the reasons we were watching: to see combat! The content itself looks very promising, the stream just didn't present it very well. I urge people to watch Datto's and More Console's presentations of the taken king, much better indeed.

2 RisposteThat sidearm looks amazing

Looks good

Your right it was much better.

4 RisposteAh, Planet Destiny. The single best Destiny YouTube channel.

6 RisposteThis one story mission makes TTK storyline look very promising. It's the best mission we've ever seen Destiny right now. At least to me. I can't wait to see Caydes dialogue. Nathan Fillion has never disappointed in anything he's done.

I heard there was a 3rd shield brother but he betrayed the other two to become Cabal heavyweight champion... but yeah, looks fun and I noticed it said he would rejoin his team instead of threatening to kill him when he went out of bounds, would be nice to see that in more places maybe needs a video of those two fending off dozens of guardians while Mad World plays though, (shield) brothers to the end!

1 RispondiThere was a leak a while back that showed that mission. It was played on a warlock but I don't think it has dialogue

7 RisposteI hope Tai Lopez crashes his damn Lamborghini off the Hollywood hills, I'm so tired of hearing about it!
-
By the prophets that story mission was glorious! Better than any mission in destiny so far!

1 RispondiLoved that first mission, it's exactly what I wanted in the new missions. Plus we get to learn some stuff with the ghost scanning, and I also love the new ghost voice, I was a little doubtful after hearing the teaser yesterday but all of his other lines seem to be very good, and Nolan north is a great voice actor.

That first mission looks so much better, and the changes are really so small. But that extra oomf makes you more immersed in the world of Destiny -- I actually felt like there was something bad happening, and kind of felt actually threatened by what Oryx was doing. In vanilla destiny, the "go there shoot this" mentality just felt like a one liner, and never made me really feel for the story, but this is different. It's like the first mission of Mass Effect, where what is happening around you feels real and you actually feel like you need to do something about it before things get worse.

1 RispondiMeh on Nolandroid, he just sounds weird. The new dynamic environments are awesome, along with the weird physics in proximity to the taken portals. The new sidearm looks like it functions better than the HoW one. Auto rifles appear to be viable in PVE again. Scanning things makes me giddy. The new subclasses look pretty cool. I'm going with my Palpatine warlock all the way, but Sunbro Titans look amazing as well. The Omolon scout rifle made me cream in my pants a little. The taken enemies are way more than just a re-skin. The boss fights are more engaging. Both the level design and combat mechanics discourage cheesing. I liked the cinematic elements going on in the background, especially in that first mission. Granted we had some of that in the base game, it was more obvious and frequent in that mission. Moreconsole had some of the cutscenes included and they do look better (and they're skip able). The varying mob types and placements in strikes will be welcome. As well as the variations in dialog. All in all, I'm pretty hyped. Will I remain hyped after slogging through the same new content 50 times? Probably less so, so a lot rests on the quality of the new raid. All of it does give me greater hope for the franchise as a whole as it continues to progress. It'll be a while before it's the Destiny I had hoped for, but they are creeping in the right direction. The next three weeks are going to be a damn mess with me trying to play Mad Max, MGSV and the prologue events that are bound to pop up in Destiny.
