Im gonna say it.. The new exotics so far are boring

Title says it Edit- I do like Telesto and Chaperone though. And the hunter gauntlets are pretty cool too. Edit- By pretty cool I mean not sucking ass, but not being awesome

    • I think the floating (Angel of Light) perk may be more useful in TTK. So far we've seen two new strike bosses (The Shield Brothers, Darkblade) that seem to rely on melee attacks, and videos have shown players fighting them at close quarters. Angel of light could be useful to do damage while staying out of reach.

        • The Warlock Chest: My goodness...my bloody goodness whoever designed this chest piece should immediately change it. When I think of an exotic armor piece, I assume it's main function is to aid me in live combat. In no way, shape or form will glimmer from primary drops aid my efficiency in love combat. I have no idea why anyone felt this chest piece was needed, it's a horrible idea and should be changed immediately. The Titan helm: Another one I couldn't understand. Bungie has to have the numbers of every warlock who uses angel of light. My prediction is that it's not too high. Namely because [i]it sucks[/i]. The sad part is the helm looks pretty good to have such a useless perk. There are a number of things that they could have done to this exotic but this perk is godawful. Other than that OP, I don't know what you're talking about. The other exotics seem pretty standard and seem to have their own usefulness in the right situations.

          • My take is Bungie is "nerfing" the new exotics before they are released. This is not a good sign. Leads me to believe that the "reskinned" Taken are not much different than their non-Taken counterparts and the reason they will be more difficult is the quality of our weapons and armor. Why make better enemies when you can just nerf weapons and armor out of the gate. Since the new year two players will never have known old weapons and armor (due to the 2.0 balance), this crap is directed to us, the year one beta testers. Guess THIS is our "something better" DeeJ promised. And the hits just keep on coming.

            • Lol at some of these please hold my hand and show me how to play people. Montecarlo plus new hunter arms basically means knives for everyone. Telesto plus warlock with the new armor equals melee and nades for days. The new Helm on the Titan is basically is for precision death from above strikers. Jump hang by ads find distant target and Super neo that garden tool.

                Shotgun looks promising. The fusion rifle (special slot) looks pretty cool and will probably be useful in PVE, but yeah other than that... meh. Especially the warlock robe. I have no idea what they were thinking. I am not sure why Bungie thinks ricochet rounds are worthy of exotic perk. There is a reason beyond there underwhelming nature why dregg's promise and hard light are almost never used.

                • That would explain why nothing can be ascended for a DLC(not a sequel mind you) They decided the only way to handle things was to make new legendaries/exotics far weaker than what was in year 1. That's gotta be it So. Don't be expecting the next saint14 type exotic or the next ghorn, it simply might not exist. Destiny 2? Obviously that will start from scratch(i hope) and maybe they can find a nice balance and design the game fully before running into problems. I wasn't under the impression that anything was truly overpowered in pve, except ghorn. I guess.

                      Uh, those Raiment Vestments aren't bad at all. Put it on a Sunsinger with 2 Fusion Grenades. Most Sunsingers reserve their Super for self-res, so running around and making use of the Orbs on the ground to throw more grenades and more Scorch Melees (instead of letting them despawn when you die) is actually pretty good and making the most use of drops on the field. Titan with Angel of Flight (or whatever it's called...) seems like it would be nice on a Defender. Pop a bubble, jump and levitate to throw some rockets without worrying too much about coming down and the firing mechanism delaying and causing a suicide. Those Hunter gauntlets... yeah, those really suck.

                      • Titan helmet should increase fists of havoc radius while activated airborne. Warlock chest should have increased chance of ammo drops including special and heavy.
