WHY DO ROBOTS HAVE BOOBS!
Isn't a robot unisex? What purpose do they serve?

Robots/Exos are meant to be a direct representation of human beings. Hence the creators add human features onto them.

The grimoire implies that exos are cybernetic avatars used for extreme environment exploration and as soldiers. It is likely that if such technology existed it would have found its way into the private sector, as playthings for the rich and powerful. I would expect privately owned exos to have been used for extreme sports and other similarly dangerous pursuits. Privately owned exos were probably personalized and this likely carried over to military exos as well. Female exo users would probably prefer feminine exos, hence the boobs. Tl;dr: Female exos have boobs because their owners/users were women.

Say you had an army, half of which was human, the other half humanoid robots. Now say the humans and robots had different weaknesses. Would you make it clear which is what or would you camouflage the robots to look human?

You also have to keep in mind that they are fully sentient and actually debated as human from what is interpreted in the grimoire.

They don't, but I'd think that when making a machine with human or better intelligence, greater than human strength, and in this case the ability to manipulate space magic, it would seem a good idea to try to make people more comfortable interacting with it. Heck, it seems as though the Exos were intentionally limited to not exceed, or to not [i]too far[/i] exceed their human counterparts. So yeah, it seems like making these robots as human as possible in every way was a huge design concern, perhaps even to a fault if we're left to assume that they were made to defend humans as Destiny lore suggests.

It's to give them human features, to make them seem less machine and more flesh, without the flesh. They are created, yes, but I'm pretty sure that having Exo's without features like that, it'd be just robots. I wouldn't doubt that the Exo's have some sort of relationships within their own kind.

you see, giving a mind to machine is easy, but humanity had to replicate a female mind as well, does anyone understand the female mind... maybe... maybe however they needed more processing power so they needed another place to store the required internals, out of space they did what all engineers did, improvise and minimalize or as you non engineers might say, killing two birds with one stone we made them more human by making them look more human by making them feel more human, and too do that we had to make them look more human so they could act more human to be more human so people would accept them looking more human just like female logic it works if you dont think too hard about it and now were here
