I loathe people who boast about their "real life priorities."
I dread coming across people like this in gaming.
You know the guy that says stuff like... "well i have real life priorities like my mortgage, my car, my wife and kid." They try to belittle you like they are somehow better than you.
Well let me tell you something dbag, I don't care about any of that. I don't care about your responsibilities or priorities.
And let me tell you that MY priority in life is watching films, going to the gym, and playing video games. Now let me ask you...why the hell are your priorities somehow better or more important than mine?

They aren't, however don't try to belittle me by calling me "scrub" because I don't have time to play videos games. Don't judge my Grimoire. Don't bring up the fact I've never done a Raid or Beat PoE 35 or went flawless. How bout we just have fun and talk about Destiny.

Haha. Yeah! I saw some post on here earlier from someone with one 34 toon and a couple below 15 complaining about how he doesn't see how some ppl can all three maxed. Then went on to talk about his school, work, his wife, kid then said something about how it must be nice to be carefree or whatever. Haha. I couldn't help but laugh. I told it WAS nice to be carefree. He made his life choices, so he can live with them. Then I told him it must be nice to make poor decisions in life then come on the forums to bash other people for being smart about their life choices.

Some people play the game to get away from their priorities for a short time. It's easy not to think about watching movies, working out, and playing video games. When you have kids, bills, and a full time + job to worry about, it's harder to get away from the responsibilities. Take heart in knowing most people will bring that stuff up when they are bad at a game. They use life as a reason for them not being good, and getting time to practice at the game. In a way it's true, in another way, if the game was their hobby, it would become a priority of sorts. I have bills, a stressful job, and a fiancee, but Destiny is a hobby, and thus I've been working to get better. You are either in a much better place in your life than I am, or you are a student of some sort. In either case, we are living two different lives, and they shouldn't be referenced against each other.

The only time this is even an issue is when people chastise others for taking a vacation day for a new game release, at least for me anyways lol, I have 3 weeks vacation and 2 weeks personal, I may use like half a week for game related things and the rest is for vacation with my kid and g/f or kids doctor appointments.

8 RisposteI'm enjoying my life. I could care less how much money someone has, or what job, or kids. I have things you don't, sleep, food, unattached sex, and gaming. GUARENTEE my life is happier then someone who is making $30+ an hour.

2 RisposteI work 60-80 hours a week, and that's exactly what I tell everyone when I hear the same line "well why is your grimoire low?" So I respond with the previous statement. Never had to try to belittle anyone yet. Plus I'm just a casual who enjoys raiding.
