Thank you Bungie.

With all the vitriol on the sub-reddit and here in the Bnet forums I just wanted to say: Thanks. I'm one of the players who actually appreciates the fact that you've addressed practically everything on the Community Wish-list (except beards!). Let alone the fact that you even have a Community Wish-list in the first place, you've also managed to to hammer down just about everything we whined and complained about for a solid year--bravo. I'd also like to take a minute and say: I'm actually excited to 'leave behind' some of my exotics. This may sound strange but the prospect of using Ice Breaker or Gjallarhorn indefinately not only sounded like a poor game decision but also didn't sound like a lot of fun. I'm stoked more for the idea of getting a whole new arsenal to chase down, a whole slew of new toys to play with and some exciting new playgrounds in-which to use them. I'm sure a lot of the incensed rhetoric right now will die-off once folks actually get their hands on Taken King, but one thing is evidently clear at the moment: people are pissed at the prospect of "losing" parts of their arsenal. My suggestion? Elaborate on what was mentioned in the Game Informer article about 'initiating quests by dismantling particular weapons'. If my hunch is even remotely close (and frankly I hope it is) then we may have some use for those exotics that didn't make the Year 2 cut. That's my opinion though. My 'feedback' if you will. Peace, Requiascat

 • Well, I can see where you are coming from and yes I can see why some gear is left behind. The problem is Bungie has a pattern of telling us that there is better gear, get rid of your old, no wait you can ascend gear, no wait now you can't again. I can't speak for everyone, in my opinion the gear introduced in TDB and HoW was a tier below most items from the initial game. Now Bungie states we will want the loot again. I hope against hope that Bungie hasn't purposely killed off gear for more "shank burn" perks, the necrochasm ( which they "fixed" only to leave behind) and other subpar or very very situational gear. I could be wrong, granted. I could be right though. If I am right, wow, just wow. Bungie already has a good and bad track record with Destiny. If the year 2 gear is subpar, what if it's the same old grind refreshed, why are some exotics crossing over, etc encourages doubt. Bungie isn't communicating the why's well. Thus the hostility. I hope this helps. Forgive me just got home from a long shift at work so I may be rambling a bit. Later
