With all the vitriol on the sub-reddit and here in the Bnet forums I just wanted to say: Thanks. I'm one of the players who actually appreciates the fact that you've addressed practically everything on the Community Wish-list (except beards!). Let alone the fact that you even [i]have[/i] a Community Wish-list in the first place, you've also managed to to hammer down just about everything we whined and complained about for a solid year--bravo. I'd also like to take a minute and say: I'm actually excited to 'leave behind' some of my exotics. This may sound strange but the prospect of using Ice Breaker or Gjallarhorn indefinately not only sounded like a poor game decision but also didn't sound like a lot of fun. I'm stoked more for the idea of getting a whole new arsenal to chase down, a whole slew of new toys to play with and some exciting new playgrounds in-which to use them. I'm sure a lot of the incensed rhetoric right now will die-off once folks actually get their hands on Taken King, but one thing is evidently clear at the moment: people are pissed at the prospect of "losing" parts of their arsenal. My suggestion? Elaborate on what was mentioned in the Game Informer article about 'initiating quests by dismantling particular weapons'. If my hunch is even remotely close (and frankly I hope it is) then we may have [i]some[/i] use for those exotics that didn't make the Year 2 cut. That's my opinion though. My 'feedback' if you will.
