Hi guys,
I just got the exotic bounty missive and seeing how both of these weapons seem useless at the moment I was wondering if one of them was going to be upgraded in ttk? Or if I should just not bother at all (except for grimoire I guess)
Thanks!
Edit: thanks for the replies! Took sga for now :) Hopefully I ll get pocket next time for grimoire

You can do SGA in about an hour when Xur is in the tower. I haven't got one in a while but I've probably done 5-6 just for the shard. Pocket infinity is a bit harder because of the fusion rifle dismantlement and nightfall kills but it's worth it for the card.

I would upgrade super good advice when over soul has come your super good advice will have a lot of bullets so it will be easier to take away the oversoul
-
3 RisposteDepends on situation and play style. My personal preference is Super Good Advice. Love that a majority of the missed rounds return. It's my go-to heavy weapon during VoG at the oracles and Atheon. Spits out hatred like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Commando. Thing seems to never empty. Love it!
-
Well they aren't the most useful, so if anything would count it's aesthetics. I would rate Pocket Infinity as one of the best looking exotics. SGA is nice looking but Pocket Infinity just has that exotic look.
-
Use SGA on Oracles, oversoul, and detain fields.
-
I would do it to get a higher calculated light level I TTK

1. I don't like either weapon. The auto-fire on Pocket Infinity is glitchy, and fusion rifles right now are in a bad spot...and its not clear if that spot is going to improve much. SGA still has a LOT of recoil and difficult to control recoil...that makes it of very questionable value as an exotic. My SGA never saw the light of day outside of my vault after I got Thunderlord and some of the other really good legendary MGs. 2. Bungie hasn't said anything about the Year Two fate of either one of these not-very-popular weapons. So I'd just hold onto the bounties for right now. First see if they are even going to have a place in the game in Year Two. If there isn't a Year Two version....I honestly wouldn't bother. In fact I STILL might not bother with SGA, not with Xur selling Thunderlord this week.

3 RisposteSGA will benefit you in VoG
-
Super Good Advice is great for destroying oracles in the Vault of Glass because shooting them counts as a miss and most of your ammo is returned to the magazine
-
Pocket infinity. I've got both.
-
Pocket infinity will always be a monster. Pve pvp not so much because of the lack of special ammo
-
2 RisposteModificato da Catty_Wampus22: 8/22/2015 6:46:28 PMI actually like both. SGA is good for solar shields, like those shanks with solar shields in nightfalls, and burns. Most of your missed shots are returned to the gun, too. And pocket infinity does really good with arc shields, like captains, and burns. The pocket infinity will usually destroy an arc shield and do some damage then switch to your primary and finish them off. An arc shotgun can do the same but they have a slower rate of fire compared to pocket Infinity's full auto.
-
4 RispostePeople that say they are useless are losers. You can use it easy. Pocket infinity does hella damage and SGA is great for oracles.
-
Sga has an occasional but very effective use I m doing pocket infinity bounty right now so I can t tell you
-
Sucks that Bungie ditched this weapon. Was my second exotic and always hoped for a buff that affects its usage. The stability buff is useless.
-
6 RisposteSGA! It can be extremely useful in raids. Oversoul? No problemo. Oracles? Gone. Destroy mines? Already done. It'll likely come in hand in TTK later, but who knows. It's still better than pocket shitfinity. The only thing it has going is gull auto, but you get a reduced damage with it. A joke.
-
Wanna know how good Pocket infinity is? It's banned in sweaties...
-
SGA is the best gun for oracles at Atheon. I have never upgraded my pocket infinity (had it for about 10 months) so no idea if it is any good.
-
Modificato da SAINTNICK72: 8/22/2015 12:13:10 PMboth great weapons but pocket inf is beast of a quest, 200 kills in the nightfall with a fusion rifle, its a grind.
-
7 RisposteJust checked your moments of triumph and noticed you haven't done the Vault of Glass on hard. Take SGA in with you when you do it ; )
-
SGA is the easiest to get
-
Pocket infinity. Neither of them are good, I just did that one first
-
4 RisposteIt hasn't been seen of Pocket infinity will be year 2 or not, but super good advice apparently isn't. Both are real fun to use, but idk, I mean you might as well get one now quick and see what it's like before TTK.
