since after the launch of TTK there is absolutely no incentive to run VoG or TDB or PoE anymore (even ToO and IB would be obsolete i guess since NO legendary will make it "over" to the year two) and that leaving the Player with just ONE raid as end game activity (and some patrol and some (quest-)bounties..)
would it not have been WAY better if they would have redesigned the VoG weapons to match tier 2 weapon stats and relaunched the Raids with maybe some BUGFIXING? (*hinthint*) and some cool new features? (add-ons.. bungie look that up if you dont know what it is..)
even if they would have taken some of the new TKK exotics and found a reason why they are now in those old raids ( *hint2* missing guardiand, Kabr, Toland, Eris as hintguver etc..) and actually put those new exotics and legendaries IN those old raids ? at the moment i dont even have a reason to run those raids with newbies that havent raided them before since if they get a fatebringer, wow, ! yeah scrap that.. *dismanteld* and then saying "BUT it USED to be the best weapon in game "..!
seriously, if you dont come up with a good solution to that mess, TTK will be burned out the week its out.. surely the new raid will (if its done properly) be more challenging than the old ones.. (you said that ,. not me ) but also those raids will be solved and the completion time will drop down to 1-2 hours max (Remember , Crota raid dropped down to 15 minutes so it was more like a speedrun..)
so pelase, bungie, go back to the drawing board and focus a bit on the Old end game activities, and dont make them completely obsolete.. and if you need ideas or tips, hell, even call me, i have plenty of them..
GO and don't let those old raids die out--

10 RisposteAnd the vog or crota are useful for what exactly atm?
-
If anything we'll get legendary marks along with our usual rewards. The shards turning into glimmer and the nlb hunt will always make me come back to the old raids, especially during IB
-
2 RisposteI don't really want the old weapons to be carried over so not everyone is using the same old weapons. I do think they could have maybe added some extra difficulty and maybe some year two rewards to the raids though just to keep everyone still playing them
-
Modificato da Valkorion: 8/22/2015 9:06:38 AMI atleast wanted raid weapons to be carried on to year 2. Imagine if someone who has grinded VoG hard forever and finally gets his first mythoclast on Sept 14.
-
ToO will have new content.
-
2 RisposteWhat do you mean no incentives to play them?! Who doesn't want chatterwhite?! You're funny dude...
-
Umm just out of curiousity, how many times have you run the VoG? It looks like you mainly just run the ce raid, so you would be one of the last people that we would want representing them. Now, most people will agree that the vault is still the best raid so far and that ce is more of a strike at this point than a raid. Personally I think they are a great way to get your feet wet in terms of communication, because we all know that the new players aren't going to be able to run the new raid right off the bat like the people that have already been playing for a year and have three maxed characters. They will still be viable, if you understand what that means.

3 RisposteThere's still stuff bungie hasn't said about TKK. I could see them tweaking VoG & CE:s loot tables for TKK owners. They will talk about some new stuff at PAX.

15 RisposteThis post gave me cancer

2 RisposteI can literally feel my IQ points dropping after reading this post.
-
1 RispondiI'm still holding out hope that there's gonna be some sort of "Taken" version to all those activities.
-
How about if redesign just raise the levels of enemies and damage dealt, and instead of dropping legendary or old gear have a chance if dropping new gear gotten from legendary engrams or a chance of getting an exotic. Or just raise level cap In General.
-
What more incentive do you need than.....fun?
-
2 RisposteVoG is fun. That's my incentive to keep playing it.
-
1 RispondiPossibility of second VoG gear being released as "new" "updated" year 2 armor.....possibility for Crotas End and PoE aswell.
-
The raid won't even come out right away as far as I understood when I read descriptions about ttk dlc
-
7 RisposteRemember when we played video games just for fun?
-
Both current raids should have new difficulty levels, so they are on bar with the new raid. People still play them as they are fun, so give the PAYING customer what they want!
-
1 RispondiThey aren't removing them... I can still go launch a VoG raid at any time and still do it
-
I partially agree. Bungie could have made the old content more attractive.
-
1 RispondiAlso, old raids dont' give xp so to run them will cut into the time you could spend leveling.
-
I'd rather play NEW content! And if I want, I can equip my VoC, and do VoG ANYWAY. No frikkin way will I play VoG for years to come, and for sure I am happy I do not have to play Crota anymore.
-
you have a chance to get year 2 exotics on those places
-
-
1 RispondiIf you still do Vault of Glass and Crota's End for the loot....
-
2 RisposteIs this confirmed? I haven't seen anything that directly stated the old end-game activities are becoming irrelevant.
