Let's assume you agree with whatever policies this candidate supports, whether they are conservative, liberal, etc. Would you still vote for them if they were very open about being an atheist?
-
Yes. I am a firm believer in separation of church and state.
-
2 RisposteMight as well, we just had a Muslim president
-
so long as they aren't overly expressive with the fact they are non-religious, I would be fine with it. but again, I would also vote for a resident of any religion, so long as they are not overly religious. any religion or non-religion, or agnostic

Modificato da xDeFalt: 8/20/2015 7:59:31 PMAbsolutely, Christians -blam!-ed this country up enough with their bible bullshit.
b8,hook line and sinker
1 RispondiReligion and government should be separate. An atheist president would help prevent religious bias in the government
-
Nope. Never in a hundred million billion years. You couldn't even pay me. Just the thought makes me want to vomit. Ugh, uhhhhhh! *Vomits. *Vomits some more. *Vomits blood. *Dies

but seriously, yeah I would. Their personal beliefs don't wouldn't bug me enough to not vote for them. I mean as long as I think their ideas are good or whatever
1 RispondiThis thread needs more Ronald Raegan.
-
Well if he supported the policies I did then yea.
-
Doesn't matter. They should be bettering the country. But keeping their religious ideals out of it. (Separation of Church and State)
-
Not because he was Atheist alone, no.

2 Risposte
Let's assume you agree with whatever policies this candidate supports, whether they are conservative, liberal, etc.
This is the only part of the poll that matters. Would you vote for a candite that you agree with? The -blam!- is this poll? It's dumb!

Unfortunately this poll is not representative of the rest of America, there was a poll that showed America was more willing to elect an open Muslim than an Atheist, considering how hated Muslims are that's pretty bad.
-
Absolutely
-
That'll be a beautiful day in America :^).
-
I am staying the -blam!- away from this post
-
As long as their religion (or lack of) doesn't influence their policies I wouldn't care what religion they are
-
I dont really care what they believe or dont believe. If i like them i like them.
-
Why would it matter? Religion and politics should be separate.
-
I feel as if the subject of god was removed from our presidents thought process then decisions would e made differently
But then again I don't really care
-
8 Risposteas long as he/she doesn't change the words of the pledge of allegiance, doesn't enforce us to think a certain way about the world, is against illegal immigration and abortion, is for every amendment, and is conservative..... I'm fine.

Yes...Marilyn Manson please.
