They're nerfing blink, so nerf shoulder charge
With the news from GF today they will be nerfing the blink jump in an unspecified way in the 2.0 aka "the complainers" update.
It already can't be done three times in a row.
It already has the shortest distance and height.
You also can not reload during this type of jump.
Two out of three classes have it. Titans are the only class that don't and they're the only one with shoulder charge.
Can we see a nerf of shoulder charge then?

First of all blink is disorienting, shoulder charge can be easily countered.

9 RisposteI get that shoulder charge is a a 1HKO, but people make it seem like we Titans are unstoppable with it. The best counter for a SC is a shotgun. And since almost all PVP is ruled by shotguns, it shouldn't be much of a problem imo. Not trying to argue, just voicing my opinion. And truthfully, I can't really think of why blink needs a nerf. Yeah it's irritating, but Its not impossible to work around it.

4 RisposteYeah, nerf 'shoulder charge' because of how you turn invisible when you do it and leap across to a player who has no way to avoid it. Yup! I ALWAYS teleport when I do a shoulder charge.

Although the nerf crying posts probably brought their attention to it, I think the changes are due to Bungie's game data and their testing. If they made those decisions based on what some complainers on their forum have posted, shoulder charge would be getting a nerf as well (I probably see more posts crying for a nerf of that than I do for blink). Also, if you've used shoulder charge, you know it's really not OP at all, anyone with a shotty (aka most people in crucible) will kill you before you make it to them most times.

Let me explain why it is not op and why it won't be nerfed. 1) it takes distance to even prime shoulder charge 2) you're sprinting in a straight line toward the target and are defenseless until you are either killed or kill your target 3) if you miss, you're done 4) you shouldn't miss, but if you do, shame on you I think someone is just upset that balance is coming to the game.

I think you should ask yourself if your opinions on shoulder charge vs. blink might be slightly biased. Afterall, in crucible you have nearly 5 days played on your Warlock, over 1 day on your Hunter, but only 5 hours of crucible played on your Titan. Could your emotions of something you enjoy using be clouding your judgment?

Shoulder Charge has one method of use. You run and after you accumulate enough energy, you have a few moments to collide with another guardian who hopefully doesn't kill you before you get to him. Blink can dodge rockets, has i-frames, and in combination with a shotgun has become the biggest source of frustration outside of thorn. Bring something comparable, shoulder charge and blink are not.
