Indeed, just proves how many destiny fanboys there still are. Here is a fact that will end all debates here. Spartans have conquered entire alien planets, guardians can't even protect a single city without the help of a GOD. Game. Set. Match.
-
Spartans got bitchslapped by the ppl that fielded the Grunts. The halo universe only survived by luck, something that is influenced by an outside force Maybe a god
-
You mean the elites? Yeah. And no, they survived by military strategy and CQC skill. Also, the guardians got tossed around between four alien races, like they were strippers in a strip club, or whores in a whore house. And guardians can't even take back a country, much less a city without the help of a god.
-
That God u keep bringing up? It was dead before there were guardians. "In its dying breath, the traveler made the ghosts, to find those who could wield its light". So no, they didn't have a god help. As for getting "tossed around", I've seen a total of 1 dead guardian in the story. How many Spartans have fallen? And that's just the covenant. Elites? Fallen Brutes? Cabal Flood? Hive Prometheans? Vex
-
If the traveler was dead, why is it still there? Why does the speaker still say it protects the human race? Also, if you're going off of gameplay, then in that case no Spartans have died besides in reach. However in lore, that's a different story.
-
1. It's a corpse 2. The guardians carry on the legacy 3. Let's equate Reach to the Twilight gap. One was a win, the other a loss
-
Reach was an entire planet, twilight gap was a tiny area...And again, why does the speaker still say thAt the traveler still guards the last city?
-
He says it CUZ THE GUARDIANS FIGHT ON THE TEAVELERS BEHALF. Also, there were millions of fallen trying to storm the Gap (HoW numbered in millions before queen attacked in the Belt. That's one house, there were 3 more).
-
Again, guardians aren't even thinking of protecting the city, and AGAIN. TWILIGHT GAP IS A SINGLE CITY, REACH IS AN ENTIRE -blam!-ING PLANET. HOW SMALL DO YOU THINK THE COVENANT ARE? How many planets do you think they have under their control?

Modificato da Quetzal: 8/21/2015 8:08:38 PMOk, I'm not following your point about the guardians not defending the city. I'm gonna let that go. Instead, let's back up. Chief vs one of the vanguard. Chief wins, it's fukin chief. Here's the question; noble team vs one of each subclass. Rules are, no outside help, no revives, Spartans get power weapons, guardians get exotics. Break the fight down for me. (If also like to add that I am sincerely enjoying this discussion)
-
Firstly, do you know the dedication noble team has? Also, did you know that master chief was part of noble team five? AND ALSO, that showdown, easy. Spartan gets a guardian hammer, and active camo. Your guardian is dead before he can even see the enemy.
-
Modificato da Quetzal: 8/21/2015 8:18:40 PMIt's 6v6 No I don't know the dedication, or that chief was a part of it
-
In which case you don't know who would easily win that battle. You argument is invalid
-
Hence why I'm asking. Answer with evidence please
-
Play halo MCC, or read the lore. There's more than enough evidence there
-
It's not my job to do so. It's yours to convince me of your argument. Now are you gonna pitch the fight or not
-
Modificato da veggiebuddy: 8/21/2015 8:36:09 PMAre you going to read the lore or not? Keep in mind it's also your job to do research and know both sides of a topic before you make assumptions, like I have.
-
-
I forgot to mention that Spartans also reclaimed earth from the covenant..
-
Indeed, although the with the help of marines, army, and ODST's
-
Modificato da veggiebuddy: 8/18/2015 4:50:22 AMGranted they did have help, they never ever had the help of a god. In the halo universe, Spartans are the closest things to a god you'll ever get

Guardians didn't have the travelers help, it died in the collapse. Guardians don't appear until after the collapse
