Hmmm...i mean gta, uncharted, tomb raider to name a few. Mostly 3rd person cover based games though a lot of first person shooters can easily be completed using your original weapon so long as ammo is around. How many games like destiny mmorpgish with expansions and dlc and whatnot? None. Hell theyve been nice. If it were up to me with each dlc all weapons and armor would be rendered useless

9 RisposteI have not played any game that takes absolute top tier gear, and makes it useless compared to vendor gear. Do I expect raid, quest, and the occasional rng drop to have a potential to be better? Hell yes! I have a question for you though. Have you ever played an mmorpg or rpg where as you advance, the higher tier weapons are worse? People could give a shit less about armor it seems. But the weapons... Fatebringer and VoC at 300 attack were a far superior weapon to anything from Crotas end with a 331 attack. That is the problem. Advance and lose great perks/weapons to inferior perks /weapons.

Ffxiv relic weapons are still viable options despite the heavens ward update and in many ff and other rpgs where you have to invest in a weapon they dont toss them to the side for a newer shinier and still very temporary weapon
