The one game talked about more in these forums at the moment is ESO. Guess what, they do the same thing. Veteran rank 10 gear. Awesome. Well, then veteran rank 12 content is released, then 14. Talking PC here, I don't know what they've changed on the console if anything. Haven't played it in many months. But no one really cared when they increased the cap and made old gear obsolete.
