In the builds shown for TTK, each new subclass has had one new grenade, and two that already exist in the game. My worry is that this will actually be what the final build is as in one of the trailers, the arc warlock is shown throwing a titan pulse grenade (or something EXTREMLEY similar).
So do you think they have just been holding back the other two grenades/they're in development?
Or do you think that Bungie are going to be lazy and unoriginal by copying and pasting the grenades across instead of creating new ones?

I'm agree with spike grenade for void-hunter, pulse grenade for arc-warlock and incendiary grenade for solar-titan, these grenades are aesthetically and functionally neutral. But Votrex grenade for Nightstalker? O my God, NO! Vortex is definitely a part of Voidwalker's identity. The same thing with the Lightning grenade - it's so strongly associated with Strikers. I really hope for some changes.
-
2 RisposteI think they're placeholders. They'll be similar but with small tweaks not flat out copy pasted.
-
I kinda feel like that was out of laziness. I mean seriously give it a new grenade
-
1 RispondiWe need 9 grenades, 3 new for each class. Classes and subclasses are core mechanic in game - we will play it until destiny 2, so I care for it much more than for story missions or "storytelling".
-
1 RispondiHow many different grenades could you come up with that aren't similar, redundant or ridiculous? There would have to be 27 unique grenades for all three classes with three subclasses.
-
3 RisposteI'm glad there isn't tons of new grenades. Too many of one thing gets annoying. Fast.
-
17 RisposteWe do not need a million grenade types, two standard amd one unique per class is fine
-
2 RisposteModificato da Moot: 8/9/2015 11:55:57 AMWarlocks get lightning grenades which kick ass, so I'm fine. They also get pulse grenades and another new type which "summons bolts of lightning".
-
3 RisposteI think that the subclasses at E3 are gonna be a little different from the ones in TTK. The terminology is rough, and I wouldn't be surprised if the duplicate grenades are just substitutes.
-
7 RisposteI don't mind, I've actually wanted to try out the warlocks fusion grenade for a while now.
-
28 RisposteWas taking the post seriously till I saw lazy and un original. Bungie didn't even plan on a third subclass. Just another kid not satisfied with what they get.
-
More than likely they were just placeholders. After all everything is subject to change until ttk comes out.
-
I'm not too bothered
-
1 RispondiI hope it is, the hunter grenades look op as hell, I will be maxing out my discipline for the new subclass
-
I'm glad someone else noticed this. I hope it's new ones but so far doesn't look like it. The warlocks will be pleased though since lightning grenade is awesome. Sunbreaker gets incendiary and fusion (yuk).
-
3 RisposteI just hate how Stormcallers get Lighting Grenades. As if Warlocks didn't already have good grenades... They get the one thing that the Striker had that was viable in PvP.
-
1 RispondiTitan will still never get any of the good "Bolt" grenades. Warlock and Hunter will have the duopoly on them.
-
I know how you feel. I main a Titan and our lift ability is the same all across the three subclasses
-
5 RisposteThere are only so many ways to make a grenade. If they made them all new ones they would just end up being similar to what we already have, perhaps not as good. So why not keep what works.
-
2 RisposteWarlock gets lightning grenades that Titans have I heard
-
2 RisposteHolding back.
