I and many others (including quite a few in the States) want a simple answer, Bungie. Why are you discriminating against non-US players? The world has an exchange rate. $1 does not equal £1 or €1. In my case (UK), you would be charging us almost double for the same amount of content as U.S. players. There is simply no excuse for this. I could buy the Legendary Edition with everything to date in it, with a physical disc and box, and have it delivered to my house, for £43. How do you possibly justify this?
TTK should cost me £25 at most. That's a reasonable DLC price. This is not a full game, it's a DLC. Saying it's all about value is a bunch of bull, because you've valued it in the U.S. at £25 ($40). This is plain greed, and the worst part about it is that you simply do not care that you are driving away huge numbers of fans because of it.
I have played Destiny since Day 1. In truth, I've never had truly unbelievable fun with it (due to a pretty shocking lack of content), but it's something to hop into and burn some time. I would like to get and play TTK, I really would, partly because it looks like a step toward what we should have gotten in the first place. But charging this much for it is just wrong, and to make it worse you don't even talk about it.
People without TTK are going to be locked out and left behind as content is switched over to TTK and new weapons and gear make us obsolete. This is not a subscription based game, yet you treat it like it is, demanding (if the current model continues) about £75 per year to play for a year.
We purchased a product from you that was incomplete. You have been dishonest, arrogant and downright disrespectful to the community that has kept you afloat (you sure as Hell didn't do it on rave reviews). A lot of people would like to continue with this game, myself included, but it simply isn't going to happen currently.
I'm in the fortunate position that I can afford TTK quite easily, and if I knew I could trust you to deliver something actually worth it, I would purchase. But I can't. I don't trust you, Bungie, and you make it harder and harder to almost daily. Even if you could prove this was worth £40, it still wouldn't solve the problem, because our U.S. peers would still be getting the same amount of content for half the price, on top of all these other bonuses you are setting up that are U.S. only.
You are more or less sweeping everything and everyone who partook in this first year under the rug. You don't talk to us beyond cryptic and infrequent paragraphs. You ignore some of our heartfelt requests for game changing improvements. You've have, quite simply, abandoned the people that allow you to keep making games.
All I want, Bungie, is answers and some solid justification. None of this evasive developer speak that doesn't answer the question. A real answer.
If you dropped the price, you'd get a lot more sales. At the minute, it's just bad business, and I simply cannot understand why a company, why you as gamers yourselves, would think this is an acceptable practice. Frankly, you should be ashamed of yourselves for treating your players this way.
If anyone agrees with this, please sign or bump.
Thank you to all who have bumped and continue to show support.

Edit 2: Not a peep on this issue, Bungie. That is just disgusting. You're ripping people off and don't even the stones to justify it. Greed, plain and simple.

8 RisposteValue Added Tax and regionalism is why its priced so high. America don't have VAT at the point of sale, its added depending on the state you buy it in. I do agree it's a rip off for those who aren't looking to spend that money, but it's a sad fact that things just cost more in the UK Blame the government if you must, not the companies that can't afford to deflate the price of their product reasonably

still waiting for a response from this disgraceful company

5 RisposteWell, at least there will be other games to play (and therefore buy) for 2016. A lot of full games. More (content) for less (monies) in the new games I think. (And Star Wars BF 3!) The thing is, I would buy it. But not at that price. No-way. And I thought the Dark below we expensive enough, as well as a game-in-progress to start off with. And now it feels like a backstab since new players get it all cheaper while we (the loyal) players have to pay more? And I thought businesses needed to keep consumers happy for sales....

While I agree with you its been this way for non us players for ever in gaming. We are used to it and I just accept it even though the price difference makes no sense. Average price for a new game on ps store for me is $120. Physical copies are cheaper at $80 to $100. I usually get a new physical copy for aroind 80-90 with pricespy to find thd cheapest retailer and get a price match. Im ok woth paying that for a new game I really want. Its still a pretty cheap form of entertainment and given I usually get about $40 on resale it makes it even cheaper over the long term.

2 RisposteIs it possible to order from a US retailer instead of locally (not a solution honestly, just curious). I assume the game version is same since we both speak same language. (Spoken like a true American, I know, I know...)

1 RispondiI see your bump, and raise you another.

1 RispondiBump, as an American, we are bitching about the $40 and the past DLC's repeated maps. Now repeated maps with harder enemies. People outside the states are getting royally screwed. This must be addressed.

1 RispondiGo price hunting I got the legendary edition here in UK for £36 £4 cheaper than the taken king on it's own Now I will sell destiny, expansion 1 + 2 for around £20 Then I will have bought TTK essentially for £16 Stupid Pricing requires a bit of clever workaround to get a good deal

5 RisposteUnfortunately I think you're mistaking this problem with Bungie and not the real culprit, Activision. Bungie is the developer and has control of the content and creative spectrum but its is the Publisher and money provider, Activision that calls the shots on pricing. Complaining will achieve nothing as Bungie are not really allowed to respond to issues regarding pricing ect. Just remember that this is business and what's the number one goal of business? Doesn't make it right but their not the only culprits, most major publishers are guilty of exploiting this, the only way to stop it is to vote with our wallets but as long as others perpetuate the system, things will never change. Welcome to the DLC age.

To get action on price regulations you must contact corporate; making a stink in this app might not result in anything except letting people know you are upset. Product pricing on exports (even virtual ones) is an entirely legal and corporate matter and you must take those types of actions to see any results.

3 RisposteModificato da TheKELRaTH: 8/16/2015 6:49:41 PMit does seem like they are trying to get as much as they can with no regard to fairness. Using the $ to £ as one to one isn't the only dirty underhand thing they're doing. ie. Vet players only get extra bits if they exclusively buy the Collectors edition (not in the Legendary Edition) - now why on earth would they expect gamers who've been playing for a year buy it all again with extra junk just to get some ingame extra features. I would think vet extras would have been free just for all the support after all there was a lot of beta testing going on BUT if you do have to pay surely it should have been within the TTK expansion only. In interviews regarding charging the full price game cost they keep referring to the amount of content yet in reality its about the equivalent of Earth area - or one quarter of the original Destiny game with paying for the game engine. Sure it may end up a bit more but what it isn't is the equivalent of the original Destiny. Rather than supporting they player base they're just feeding off it ruthlessly.
