I and many others (including quite a few in the States) want a simple answer, Bungie. Why are you discriminating against non-US players? The world has an exchange rate. $1 does not equal £1 or €1. In my case (UK), you would be charging us almost double for the same amount of content as U.S. players. There is simply no excuse for this. I could buy the Legendary Edition with everything to date in it, with a physical disc and box, and have it delivered to my house, for £43. How do you possibly justify this?
TTK should cost me £25 at most. That's a reasonable DLC price. This is not a full game, it's a DLC. Saying it's all about value is a bunch of bull, because you've valued it in the U.S. at £25 ($40). This is plain greed, and the worst part about it is that you simply do not care that you are driving away huge numbers of fans because of it.
I have played Destiny since Day 1. In truth, I've never had truly unbelievable fun with it (due to a pretty shocking lack of content), but it's something to hop into and burn some time. I would like to get and play TTK, I really would, partly because it looks like a step toward what we should have gotten in the first place. But charging this much for it is just wrong, and to make it worse you don't even talk about it.
People without TTK are going to be locked out and left behind as content is switched over to TTK and new weapons and gear make us obsolete. This is not a subscription based game, yet you treat it like it is, demanding (if the current model continues) about £75 per year to play for a year.
We purchased a product from you that was incomplete. You have been dishonest, arrogant and downright disrespectful to the community that has kept you afloat (you sure as Hell didn't do it on rave reviews). A lot of people would like to continue with this game, myself included, but it simply isn't going to happen currently.
I'm in the fortunate position that I can afford TTK quite easily, and if I knew I could trust you to deliver something actually worth it, I would purchase. But I can't. I don't trust you, Bungie, and you make it harder and harder to almost daily. Even if you could prove this was worth £40, it still wouldn't solve the problem, because our U.S. peers would still be getting the same amount of content for half the price, on top of all these other bonuses you are setting up that are U.S. only.
You are more or less sweeping everything and everyone who partook in this first year under the rug. You don't talk to us beyond cryptic and infrequent paragraphs. You ignore some of our heartfelt requests for game changing improvements. You've have, quite simply, abandoned the people that allow you to keep making games.
All I want, Bungie, is answers and some solid justification. None of this evasive developer speak that doesn't answer the question. A real answer.
If you dropped the price, you'd get a lot more sales. At the minute, it's just bad business, and I simply cannot understand why a company, why you as gamers yourselves, would think this is an acceptable practice. Frankly, you should be ashamed of yourselves for treating your players this way.
If anyone agrees with this, please sign or bump.
Thank you to all who have bumped and continue to show support.
Edit: 146 likes and 317 responses, Bungie.
Edit 2: Not a peep on this issue, Bungie. That is just disgusting. You're ripping people off and don't even the stones to justify it. Greed, plain and simple.

Should be no where near as much as this to purchase in the UK! £39.99 in the Xbox store an a whopping £44.99 on amazon for what I would need! Gonna spend my money on mgs the phantom pain!!

1 Rispondi[quote]Try Activision. Bungie hasn't spoke anymore on this and IDK if they ever will. Activision sets the pricing and promotional materials. Modificato da Eremin: 8/20/2015 1:44:29 AMThey call me the Boogie Man because I go 'bump' in the night! Was watching the LiveStream hoping Cozmo would take this up as a question for the lads. Instead we got what seemed like scripted vault space spam. Similar to MOAB, I too enjoyed the game and had fun playing it with friends from the US and Ireland. Unfortunately I ended up getting shafted by the lack of content and DLC pricing. Decided to give them the benefit of the doubt for Expansions 1 and 2, but TTK takes the biscuit and dissolves it in a tepid cup of tea.

1 RispondiBump! It is completely unacceptable to rip people off like this. Answers are needed.

4 RisposteI agree with all you have said so i will give you a bump! they have all ready got £75 of mine if i payed £75 for another game I would got all the dlc in one payment, so stop ripping us off bungie AND activision!

1 RispondiModificato da Moment of Silence: 8/21/2015 10:34:23 AMI bought the limited edition for £38.99 which was a bargain as the destiny game costed £42 ish on its own They said it costs £40 (The Taken King) as it is like the game but a DLC DLC 1 and DLC 2 costs £12.99 (each) They said it will stay as £40 because.... 1)We get a new raid with new destinations 2) new PVP maps and PVP modes 3) new missions 4) More exotics (Putting HoW and TDB together) 1)two raids and 2 new destinations (mercury and Reef) 2)Double the ammount of maps and same with modes 3)2-3x more missions 4) a lot more exotics HoW+TDB~£25 TTK=£40 (rip off) Also if it's like the original game then why is it a DLC? If they dont drop the price then people have spent like £80-£100 on a game which most of the first and second DLC should of been in the OG game Bump

-
2 RisposteUh if this little bit of money is that big of a deal you should be finding a better job instead of playing a video game lmao.

1 RispondiBuy American. Pay Shipping. Save Money. Live Better. Walmart.

1 RispondiThey aren't gonna change it now Too many people have already bought it, I doubt they would give everyone a refund off a new price Can always dream tho haha

9 RisposteModificato da AronBT: 8/21/2015 9:43:53 AMI was thinking, given that TTK legendary edition is ~£40, would I lose any character progression if I purchased the legendary edition and sold vanilla destiny for ~£12 on eBay, essentially getting TTK for £28.

1 RispondiMAJOR BUMP
-
7 RisposteSo what your saying is for the US it should be like $36.99 and €40 for Europe and £34 for England
