What do we want? FRIENDLY FIRE! When do we want it? NOW!
Seriously, my teammates shouldn't be able to eat 3 rockets and live.
I know it sounds crazy, but there's nothing so satisfying than seeing your enemy shoot a rocket and [b]mistakenly[/b] take out a portion of their own team.
In Halo, there was a tactical advantage to getting in close to an enemy team when they had rockets. Why? [b]No one will shoot you (with rockets) if they will take one or two of their own kind at the same time.[/b]
Take this scenario and generalize it to supers like Nova Bomb and Fists of Havoc for maximum fun. Do you [i]really[/i] want to use your super to clear out one enemy when your buddies are capturing a zone? You might kill one bad guy, but two of your own.
I miss these moments. At least give us the option for friendly fire. Maybe in Inferno gametypes at least?
Sometimes you just want to punch your buddy in the face and teabag the shit out of them.

Wow, it looks like this idea took off!
If this was to actually be put in the game, there would definitely have to be some kind of booting system at play.
The system in Halo worked very well. Maybe if that system were adapted to a degree and customized for Destiny it would be a fit.
And what about PvE? I think some good fashioned friendly fire could be a nice thing.

No. Players will just abuse it. Hey there's friendly fire? Let be blow up my team so only I have heavy. Or let me nova bomb this capture point to clear away my allies.

I definitely do not want friendly fire. All match made activities would just be full of childish griefers. If it did happen that is likely to be the point I stopped playing Destiny.

It's a terrible idea, you'd never get through anything. However, how many times have you crouched, lined up a perfect shot only for a team mate to stand in front of you and shoot wildly at the target sending them into cover. I'd make an exception for friendly fire right there.

Hmm, would be fun. I could see a game type. The troll factor might prevent it from ever happening. They has to be some repercussion for teamslaying. If you are booted, we will have people attempting to get people to kill them enough to get booted. If a point drop, people could potentially sabotage a game. I am at a lose for a decent resolution.

Sounds awesome, but a good booting system would be a necessity. Too many trolls in this game. Getting shot in the back of the head by a 12 year old squeaker teammate would be grounds for quitting PvP altogether, and that's a slippery slope as it is.

This should be enable on "hardcore" version of the crucible, like the one that put away the radar. And in trials of course.
