Let me know what you think.
Key points that have me excited:
The RNG algorithm has been re-tooled to be smarter, rewarding you more frequently with items you could use, and attempting to avoid giving you those you already have.

Metroid Prime style opt-in lore, press a button to bring up info on something in real time.

“All of the original mission have been reorganized, contextualized, and placed within a larger quest framework. Even older subclasses…have dedicated quest lins that explain their use and place with the world.”

“Quests from the ominous Eris Morn lead to the rediscovery of a forgotten weapon type.”

Tiers (thresholds) for Intellect/Discipline/Strength that tell in seconds what your cooldown is, rather than a percentage that you have to find out.

“As an alternative to using or sharding your new high-powered Legendary weapons and armor, you can also improve an item you like by sacrificing another piece from the same gear slot.”

Gunsmith has reputation meter that can be leveled by testing out common prototypes in the field. These test weapons have a “built-in challenge” like killing Hive on the Dreadnaught, or using a sniper rifle to get headshots in the Crucible. Check out as many as you want at a time.
Hit a certain rep level with the Gunsmith, and he’ll open up Armsday purchases.
Pay glimmer to order a new Legendary weapon, and Wednesday that weapon arrives with a random set of perks.

No more Emblem/Shaders taking up precious Vault space! Shader console & Emblem console in the Tower, housing all of the Emblems & Shaders you own.
“We’re still bumping into a technical limitation for vault space. We are exploring options for getting stuff out of players’ inventories via these kiosks that we’ve placed around the tower, but we’re still working toward a solution that we’re excited about.”

Narrative-driven story with 8+ lengthy missions, seamlessly integrated with strikes, public events, class quests, and eventually, the raid – King’s Fall.
Complete the main storyline for access to the ancillary “The Taken War”, with harder, narrative-driven missions that have us revisiting old locales like the Vault of Glass.
“I undertook a mission in to the Vault of Glass called Unsealed Paradox, which finally provides some answers regarding the fate of Praedyth.”

Four new strikes (three for non PS users), plus three remixed older strikes. Presence of several “raid-light” mechanics to keep things mentally engaging.
Strikes aim for replayability, cycling species you might fight, & altering enemy configurations. Multiple narrations to provide more info as you replay the strike.
I might throw out my Dark below armor for my VoG armor

5 RisposteRemember when Bungie stated they wanted people to have lasting stories and attachments to their gear ... gear that evolved and improved alongside the player and his/her adventures? Yeah, they didn't really mean that.
-
I'm willing to loose my favorite guns, yes they will be missed but when I'm helping a noob in the future and I can tell him storys of vanilla destiny and the beta like the old man I am, ahh that's gonna be fun.
-
7 RisposteSo why punish us who have bought everything in this game so far, we are being charged a premium for helping bungie through their beta phase so it finally becomes a half decent game...
-
3 RisposteIt sounds more and more like this should have been the premise for the original release of destiny....
-
8 RisposteOh they are adding what they ripped out? Good for them. Im guessing you think the missions are going to be more than a search and kill or search and dinklebot. They will be garbage
-
This is making me a little more exited for September. I still don't know if I will get it, but I'm feeling better about it
-
That's just a bunch of sycophants hoping to get on the Twitch live-streams.
-
A lot of that is gimmicky hype.
-
4 RisposteThose upset with the Taken King are more likely to look at the $60 price tag of Fallout as their replacement instead of list of things that should have been in the game since day 1. Hmm, $140 to FINALLY get a quality Destiny game. $60 for a different game that offers more content right from the start. Damn, tough choices to be made!
-
3 RisposteYeah so this actually kind of proves we were beta testing destiny then heck they are even re recording the narrative from the game and the reorganising it all. Basically telling me I need to replay the whole story for 4 5 and 6th time... This has actually put me off TTK even more this sounds like how the game could have or should have been on release and I'm not paying £80 to by the Game of the year version or the HD remake or the definitive directors cut of destiny when I own destiny already.

That thing about rng was supposed to be "reinvented" with release of HoW NLB still didn't drop

So many I deleted and wish I could keep/bring back.
Doesn't sound TTK specific, though...so it's nice to know I can keep my wallet closed.
-
6 Risposte4 strikes...5 should be the minimum, but that's just me. Everything else sounds ok for now.
-
1 RispondiDoes that mean we have to go to the tower every time we change a shader?
-
I wonder what that hidden weapon type is -I---/ And if the story is great this will be pretty dang good hopefully
-
so they are making the lore like DS2 read the descriptions of items to know what happened
-
Points 2 and 9 have really captured my interest. Damn, it's almost like Bungie are actually putting some effort into this! Bravo.
-
3 RisposteComment for later please

3 RisposteStarting to be suspicious of any sites opinion when their sole existence depends on the health and longevity of the game. Great site used it often I'm just questioning everything and everyone this trip...
-
2 RisposteJust confirm swords and I will buy this. Instead of waiting for reviews
-
3 RisposteThis confirms that the Destiny launch was a beta test, one we paid $60+ for. Worth it in every way. But we'll wait and see if bungie wants to disappoint us again.
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjq9x_rjMgs CRUCIBLE FOOTAGE! I love how well balanced this looks without exotics
-
1 RispondiIt sounds like they have really taken what everyone has been saying and actually resolved some of the issues. Lets hope its lives up to the expectations they are laying down.
-
8 Rispostei feel alot of people would swallow this better as "destiny 2 " instead of DLC...i mean an extensive over haul like this really points towards new game status....
