What are you doing while you wait for TTK?
I have all exotics and wanted legendaries or items wanted in the game so I have nothing in the game currently to go after. So I guess for the next month and a half while I wait I might as well continue what I've been doing which has been working(at Starbucks), vegetablizing, becoming a ripe banana, training to be a full time French fry, buying many items for myself to fill my time, and trying to get a girlfriend. What have you been doing while patiently waiting for The Taken King to release?

Grinding for TLW. Finishing the public events for triumphs. Probably MGSV for two weeks before TTK.

1) getting Skolas done. 2) running VoG normal until Atheon's Epilogue drops. 3) running Crota hard until Crux and Word of Crota drop. 4) upgrading and using Epilogue/Word to finish my Thorn bounty. 5) hoping Gally drops during any of the above. 6) if I have time, giving Trials another go.
