I'm so sick of this community.
The pure elitist nature of this community makes me sick. Almost everybody on these forums seems to carry a holier-than-thou attitude like a badge on their chest.
Apparently, if you don't have 3 34s, have run both raids on normal and hard multiple times, have most if not all exotics, have run flawless Trials and have run 35 PoE, your opinion isn't valid.
Apparently you can't complain about a weapon unless you've used it. Apparently if your K/D doesn't reach a certain number then you're the worst player of all time. If you die too often, you'll probably be booted if you aren't playing with friends.
Oh, you've never raided before? Good luck finding any group that will let you raid with them without a [b]lot[/b] of searching. What's that? Your grimoire (a small number that signifies how many pointless things you've found/done) isn't high enough? Booted, you're automatically bad at the game. I'm not even gonna get started on the Gally elitism, the biggest reason why I support patch 2.0.
I understand that there are friendly and helpful users on here, but they're immensely overshadowed by self-righteous pricks who think that playing anything besides nonstop Destiny makes you a worthless pile of nothing. In fact, I'd say dealing with this obnoxious community is more tedious than anything else in the game! No wonder Bungie rarely interacts with you guys; if I had a playerbase like this I'd probably release the content and not say a word!
You guys are so disgusting, so toxic, so utterly annoying that #OffTopic is a nicer place than this.

It is what it is man. The community is who they are. Try and find some friends or join a clan. Would solve all of your woes. I play with a friend of mine who I've known for a while and his wife, so I don't really have to deal with most of the eliteism that happens here. And honestly, when my crew goes on vacation and can't play, I've had some success finding some decent people to play with through these forums, and I don't have gally.

And I'll be honest I don't wanna play with a inexperienced team but I'm happy to help 1 guy carry through. Everyone does their first raid, and sucks at it. And now I can run both relics perfectly and an a VOG veteran, but seeing someone not even raid because of a strict guideline of qualifications is just sad, I'll be talking 22-30's thru VOG NORMAL AND HARD From now on, inexperienced only, if you have GHORN equipped I DONT want you in my raid group

I don't understand where the community problem is here. The forums, like all gaming forums are full of dissatisfaction. However I have received nothing but good times with anybody I played with or against online, including younger players. Perhaps I just too relaxed to get annoyed about a game. I have tried LFG once or twice and people have always been friendly, randoms on strikes 99% of time are helpful (unless they are doing speed runs and just shoot off into the distance), which can be slightly annoying but it is understandable if they are just completing a bounty. If you pay too much attention to the forums you'll be filled with doom and gloom, but if you play PoE with a clan or group you will have a much more enjoyable time (from my experience anyway). Although I'd be classed as a scrub so on here my opinion doesn't count :-)

I don't get people who have a hard time finding raid groups and doing raids if they have never done it before 1: search up raid guides and strategies 2: don't announce you've never ever done this before unless the group is super chill Done
