Korean War: 2,730,000 killed
Was it worth it?
Vietnam war: 1,313,000 killed
Nearly all of those were civilians killed by United States troops. Tell me again how these people were a threat to the United States? Were they going to invade on rice paddy boats? Oh, it's because communism was spreading? Well, was it worth it? 1,313,000 killed and Vietnam is now one of only a handful of countries that are still communist.
Iraq: 219,000
Iraqi civilians killed as a result of the American occupation. Why? For what?
You know it's estimated that nearly 20-30 million have died as a direct result of the United States military since WWII and our policy towards promoting evil -blam!-ing people to power to crush people who think differently.

How am I suppose to support the troops when they're off invading and occupying parts of the world nowhere near the country? The troop are not "protecting my freedom." They're killing people in the name of empire and profit. They're not protecting us from being invaded. They are the invasion force.
Oh and just remember, these numbers are only of those who died. For injuries just take the death number and multiple it by 10. Thanks for killing my family and destroying my country troops. Loving this "freedom."
-blam!- the troops. -blam!- war. And most importantly -blam!- the United States Military.

29 Risposte
Korean War: 2,730,000 killed Was it worth it? Vietnam war: 1,313,000 killed Nearly all of those were civilians killed by United States troops.
I stopped reading at this point as the OP obviously has no idea what he's talking about.

Thank you for your service to all veterans.

11 RisposteGet over it. You wouldn't be alive right now if it weren't for the troops, none of us would be.
-
Well I've always knew they would show their corruption
-
2 RisposteI hope you grow taste buds in your ass hole.
Honestly, I am pissed that my fresh air is wasted on pieces of shit like you.
9 RisposteI'm not even American but I am more than happy to slap the shit out of you.
-
2 RisposteYou can support the troops and not the government or its military and its agenda. Many of our troops go in looking to do good. It's all with good intentions, but our government sometimes takes advantage of the good-willed volunteerism and uses it to stretch a corrupt agenda.

3 RisposteSo much this

You're blaming the troops, it's not always the troops fault. Some of them got drafted into nam

1 RispondiThat is your opinion, as is your right, you should be lucky, i work with people with families in the kongo who have been killed for "speaking freely" if you dislike or hate america then move out you anti patriot, if you wont, then you are a: poser, hypocrite, and lier. And then you are the lowest of lows. You sir, are despicable!
-
Get out of here this is clearly you seeking attention do not blame troops blame the war itself. I agree with you that war is stupid. Alot of those "innocents" you are speaking about with your most likely made up numbers werent so innocent. I dont exactly remember where this happened but people were throwing babies strapped with explosives at US military service men and women.

1 RispondiIts funny how you're so willing to voice your opinion, but when someone on the forums say they fight for america you keep shtum, lol.

10 RisposteThe United States military is apolitical. Thus they do not have the authority to declare war, decide who to bomb, invade, etc. Those with such authority are the politicians you vote into Congress and the Whitehouse. People who join the military do so for many reasons, it could be to learn a trade, to get out of a bad neighbourhood, or to serve their country. What ever the reason. They put their lives and health on the line when they sign up, and sacrifice months on end away from their loved ones. Therefore it is up to their government to do right by these people by: 1. Being careful about the causes for the deployment of these men and women. The main reason why I was against the war in Iraq was I didn't think Iraq was worth one drop of British soldiers blood. Nor Americans for that matter, but that's not my call. 2. By making sure that they're not abandoned after their time in the military is over. The suicide and homeless rate of veterans is utterly appalling. As Tennyson wrote about The Light Brigade. Theirs not to reason why, theirs not to make reply , theirs but to do and die. Into the Valley of Death , rode the six hundred.

3 RisposteGood, we need a population decrease.

So am I.

So is bungie

Soldiers are just trying to keep the guys on the left and right of them alive, and bring everyone home in one piece. Point blank period. Its war and unfortunately innocent people are killed. I don't like how we invaded Iraq but I'll be damned if I let good men die because I chose to do nothing.
