If Year 1 Guns Become Non-Upgradable
If Bungie and Activi$ion announce that year one legendaries and exotics will not have a upgrade path, will you continue to play destiny?
Edit 1: For those who would stay... Imagine having to completely replace your exotic armory. Every exotic would be useless except for PvP.

Besides the 3 HoW exotic weapons, I have all exotic armor & weapons (all maxed out) which took a lot of time, material + glimmer grinding! I will most propably move on to other games...can't see myself grinding exotics all over again.....

1 RispondiThe problem I face with destiny is that I keep returning to the guns that are the most efficient to get the job done. For me this results in fatebringer, found verdict and gjallarhorn. More balance and newer weapons means I'll be using different set-ups, grinding for new gear, etc. This is what I like about destiny.

3 RisposteExotics have always been upgraded. That trend will people continue. Specially since Xbox will just then be getting hawk moon for it to already be obsolete?! I don't think so. But legendaries? Yeah they're staying at 365 and should. Your going to get better weapons to replace them.

Everyone in this thread got trolled by reddit. Anyone who has followed the game believes legendary and exotic gear will be upgradable.

Ummmm I'm 100% positive that exotics will carry over. Why else would they be buffing/nerfing them? I bet they require another exotic shard to upgrade.

There's no way you'll have to ditch exotics, too much invested in them. You'll carry them through your whole career. Mark my words

It would be annoying because when they finally release hawk moon and 4th horsemen for Xbox they'll be completely useless and no one will ever use them... If they want to keep players they should leave all the old guns in the game because then it'll give us way more variety and it'll slowly become a better game

Just a thought: players who start playing in TTK will be forced into using the new weaps and armor to reach max level/compete. Should the game be more inclusive? I feel like most of the posts are egocentric in assuming that they don't want to use that fun till 2024 or whatever. So then don't, I won't actually hurt you any if a new player or a player that still has yet to unlock these year one weapons wants to ascend them. We already know you don't want to use them, but you have a selection of all the new guns anyway. Live and let live.

I'm done, not going to even bother with TTK and not because I will not be able to upgrade my year 1 gear, but because they're nerfing the shit out of it to make the TTK gear look better.

I feel like it should be possible to upgrade both armor and weapons further, not because I want to eternally use the same weapons but because it promotes having different gear, I hated the day of max level only being with raid gear

I don't think they would've bothered doing the Sept 15 gun nerf if they are to be obsolete.
