It's not his health that's the problem, it's other stuff that happen at once.... Either remove the poison or mines. The best compromise would be to HALF the amount of adds....
Edit1: I see that most of the "git gud" crowd haven't done him since the pre burn nerf.....
Just saying......
Edit2: I can't thank most of you enough for all the tips and strategies that you have given me. TRUE GUARDIANS!!! The "git gud" crowd and the "play another game" crowd can GTFO......

I won't say hard but time consuming. It's stupid really. Just have to be patience.
-
I completed skolas last night and then I did it again this morning It's not that hard, you just have to take you time and knock the adds down. It takes me like 15-20 minutes for the boss fight but it involves minimum deaths and is pretty easy to do
-
Its supposed to be hard

Modificato da Commander B_rice: 7/24/2015 9:46:14 PMwatch videos and practice. not to be funny but there are too many nerfs coming down as it is and skolas has already been nerfed once. i hate the saying 'git gud', but seriously try a little harder and learn the mechanics. and to your 1st edit, he was easier with the burns when you could just gally him in 20 seconds.
-
Post "burn nerf" it actually takes more time and shots to kill him. Your comment stating that people didn't beat him pre nerf is irrelevant considering he was actually easier to kill pre nerf.
-
1 RispondiGet good. Communicate with your team and skolas is a cake walk.
-
The adds only come out when Skolas is reduced to certain percentages of health. So, wipe out the adds before you try to burn down Skolas. We used snipers and saved rockets for spamming the new adds, so the mines wouldn't be as crazy.
-
If you prioritize clearing adds and focus on passing the poison it's really easy. It will take you around 20-25 minutes, but you control the pacing. If you hit a rough spot do not damage Skolas, stay alive, kill adds. In a pinch it can also help to have a sunsinger die with the poison then stand back up, no one will be poisoned for a short time and can normally reset all your immunity. A hunter can solo the mines easily, pro tip, me lee the mine to activate blink strike invis. No Hunter, save Titan bubble for middle mine.
-
1 RispondiHow I did it was pretty easy but takes more time, when enemies spawn, stop shooting skolas and kill enemies, if you keep damaging skolas more enemies will spawn, and when the poison hits about 10 seconds have someone take it, and keep going, during mines, I would say stand on either the front or back platform before they spawn and all of you run to the mines together
-
Uhhh I went in pretty micj blind with a friend who had done it a few times and a random. We had no real issues, just needed to execute or strategy better. So I think it really comes down to focus and execution...The fight itself isnt too hard. Just intense.
-
If there was no mines or no poison then it would be a walk in the park, the trick is calling out when the mines are near, and at times don't worry about skolas and take out ads.
-
Just find a good team and strat. Also try to do it without small arms (way easier) Not even kidding but gl dude
-
1 RispondiThank you I know "filthy casual" but I think the mines are a little much they should be destroy mines

its not that hard once u know what to do. The whole Skolas fight is a hit and run game. U need to communicate with teammates, thats most important
-
Skolas is a dick, Ive only done it once for the cipher. Never again...
-
35 is top tier meant to test the truly skilled and strategic players. A solid team that communicates well and learns the mechanics can get it done fairly easy.

1 RispondiI'm a casual and it isn't hard
-
I did him two weeks ago (same mods as this week?) and it IS a bit of a pain in the bum, but small arms , despite softening the Gjallarhorn, makes add management easier. I certainly don't think I'm a pro, but I Don't see a problem with a challenge that actually asks more than simply blasting it away with rockets. It's not necessarily bad that what is supposed to be the hardest content in the game is not accessible to so-called casuals. And incidentally, I've seen firsthand a casual who is competent and can follow instructions beat him.
-
Sorry but 35 isnt ment for casuals.
-
I'm a casual and he's easy as hell, even after the change to him
-
3 RisposteSkolas is no even worth it.
-
Honestly only recommendations are play safe and run a circle and try to have everyone alive before mines.
-
Make sure that the two people who have to trade the poison stick together on mines, the other person goes to the mine that they aren't at.
-
I haven't killed Skolas yet. But honestly, I've gotten closer to killing him after the nerf than back when he had more health and the burn modifiers. You want to know what hell looks like? It looks like an army of Fallen with homing bullets and rapid-fire Wire Rifles with Arc Burn active. The nerf was a good thing.
-
Just keep trying and I suggest you should watch some strategy guides if you haven't already, it may help you out. My only advice I have that may be useful is Communication, it's arguably the most important thing, if you can't communicate effectively with your team then you will be at a major disadvantage
