As a level 24 with the only void weapon being a rare shotgun. Sigh. That first Thorn took a long long time to earn.

Did it with a Judgement VI and a MG18A Harm's Way. When I ran out of secondary and heavy ammo I just pulled out my Stranger's Rifle and hid in a corner until I saw some special ammo spawn.
