Stuck at Skolas for 12 (originally 7) hours AMA (Update: Killed him!!)
Seriously.
Edit: 9 hours. taking a break. picking up soon.
Trying to reply to you all but i am on mobile and also dealing with not getting disconnected right now!
Edit: Almost 11 hours. not done. this game is killing me.
Edit: After more than 12 hours, I give up.
I admit, I have been broken. This is not fun anymore. My team sucks and the second mine phase gets us all the time. I resign.
12 hours of trying hard and nothing to show for it... It annoys me. I am really frustrated and annoyed right now. 12 hours. Nothing. Nothing.
Edit: Thank you for all your kind words and strat tips! Also thank you to all angry people because you make me smile every time! I guess I will try again tomorrow. It wasn't so much the strat rather than our execution that was lacking.
guess I will look for two mentors tomorrow though. its 2:24 am where I live now so i gotta get some sleep. thanks guardians. hope is not dead yet. i guess. :)
Edit: people say it does not show up in my recent list. yeah it doesn't. why? is it because i went to orbit? i got skolas' card for killing him but not the triumph because we wiped on mines.
anyway i am not telling lies and if you don't believe me i honestly dont care much.
i have no time to get attention through petty lies. i could write a funny story instead.

Edit: We finally did it! This time it took only two and a half hours total!! So happy!! Thanks to my team and everybody who gave good advice!! Now I can rest hahahaha

Sucks man :( regretfully I'm on Xbox so I can't offer to help. Just take it easy, take it steady. Clear your ads and wait till everyone is alive before starting the mines each time. Try using your Horns on the ads instead of Skolas during the mine sections. Skolas can be killed with primary weapons (this will be a little slower of course but you can take your time with it.) This is the strategy I use and we never wipe. 1. Clear ads 2. Gang up on servitor until almost dead, then two break off and get set up on skolas. 3. Wait until everyone is ready(supers,nades,synths,revive,ect.) Then down servitor, hit skolas. 4. Repeat, until poison starts. *mines come at 50% health & 20% health. My preferred team is 2 titans, 1 warlock. Pop bubbles at front left and center mines as they appear, back right has sufficient cover. Stick together to pass poison, count down from 10 out loud. A, you don't have to watch the clock and be it reminds the person who is next to come get it. Best of luck!, I'd come help but I gotta do real life today.

I don't know if it's cause my forehead is godly but people say they can't pass raids and strikes and such for hours but my team and I just 1 try at everything. I'm not even high level or good but it's all about timing and focusing on who you gotta shoot to survive

Take your time, clear ads everytime they spawn. N once he gets close to half n quarter I think kill all ads n wait for supers to be ready. Then hurt him more so you have supers for the mines n enemies.

Dieing isn't that big a deal, as long as you die in a good spot. I've had times where we know the essence is going to eat one person, and we'll be at 1 man alive for a bit. There's 3 good areas to die. Above everything, just not in the middle. Dieing on mines? Whoever has the essence and can take it next move to far side, while the immune sticks close to original locale. Worked for us each time.

The only other time I tried it took 7 hours and I gave up. Beat em last night start to finish in under 2 hours. If one person dies during passing of the poison it f's you chances. You either need to pull it together or you need a better team. The key is not dying. You can take forever to kill skolas. There were points that we killed all the ads and waited 5 mins plus to get our act together before taking skolas health down to the next level.

7 RisposteIf your teammates are dying constantly because of adds and petty stuff then you need a better team. Hate to say it but a death during skolas is devastating and you can't carry.

Think you need a different group of people dude, some people who know how to do it. Shouldn't take any more than an hour for the skolas fight itself

I think it took us like 45 mins last time we killed him. Maybe u need to go over the strategy with your fireteam, open up better communication, and keep moving.
