6 RisposteModificato da Eluminary: 7/23/2015 3:48:22 PMThe Nordic countries typically win these comparisons when done objectivly. Norway/sweden etc. Higher taxes but well run efficient transparent governments that spend the money well. They live longer better health and medical care. Manditory 6 weeks min paid vacations. 1 year paternity leave paid for men and women. All education and training paid for through college/graduate school. Nearly zero crime. What crime they do have prisons are 100% focused on rehabilitation vs punishment even for the worst offenses. They actually fix and maintain their roada and bridges. .. (US largely is horrible on this and we have been for years now) if you hate your job they will pay you to quit. Pay for your training for the job you want. For all this you will pay about half your income in Taxes, but you get alot for it the people are typically rated the happiest in the world.

I say Denmark. Could have gone for Norway, but their winters are far too dark. I'm English BTW.

4 RisposteModificato da Doc: 7/21/2015 3:25:24 PMHard choice, I live in UK and the people are nice enough, there are very nice areas (and bad ones) but overall a little boring for my liking. I like Canada because of its large forests and wildlife and friendly people but the accent annoys the f*ck outta me. Australia is a nice place and like the accents but has got a fair few problems of its own and I really don't care for the all the spiders n shit.

3 RisposteThe UK, France and Canada are good for quality of life but are just beaten by the Scandinavian countries. Some parts of the US are practically 3rd world due to all the crime and poverty there. Particularly places that were affected by hurricanes etc and have not properly recovered. So the US isn't even a contender. But some people are too wrapped up in their "'Murica! -blam!- yeah!" to see it.
