If Bungie did Destiny with Microsoft would it be better?
People say Microsoft kept Bungie in line...

23 Risposte100% better. Here's why: Microsoft would have been greedy and made it an exclusive. While worse for other console gamers, this would have allowed Bungie to put all their efforts towards one console release and thus have more time to add more content. Furthermore, the fact that Activision wouldn't be publishing it would make it 10x better. Due to this fact alone we would probably have gotten the original game that we all know was cut up. Would suck balls for sony and probably last gen (doubt they'd have put it on 360), but it would most definitely have been a [b]much[/b] better game.

3 RisposteModificato da Simmer: 7/19/2015 11:23:18 PMNo, because Microsoft forced Bungie to work on Halo 3 before Halo 2 was even finished. Bungie can now work at their own pace (Ex. House of Wolves delayed launch). Microsoft was all about quick money and made Activision look like a passive, beaten girlfriend. When I first heard about Destiny years back, I was hoping Bungie would self produce this game. Luckily, they are given free reign over their IP, but people still whine and complain about petty stuff. I couldn't even read the forums when Bungie controlled the Halo series. They were plagued with madness. These forums are like a field of cabbage patch dolls laced with klonopins compared to the Halo brats after Halo 3's release.

Absolutely. Activision has a very cookie cutter method to releasing game content and they will release just enough to keep you interested and paying. They are developing way into the future so towards the end of the life of the game they can reduce staff down to just support. If Destiny had the PVE experience of Halo it would probably be the best game ever. If Microsoft oversaw Destiny it would have been a much better game.

Microsoft drowned their creativity. The guys needed freedom, no creative constraints. I only get miffed at all these Playstation 'exclusive' timed content in retaliation. We loyal fans pay for their fallout.

I think we can all agree Destiny is so disappointing because of the sudden change of direction about 6 months before release. I personally believe that would never have happened if Activision was not involved.
