This patch is a step in the right direction from bungie. The outrage on these forums obviously shows bungie that they've made the correct decision.
G-Horn has reigned supreme since the first week of destiny. It's the weapon of choice for scrub players who need that clutch launcher to clear difficult content.
The 20% damage reduction won't make that much of a difference. I'm calling for a 50% damage reduction at the least for Ghally.
This will mean players can find groups without discrimination. It will also add diversity to the current weapons table in the game. Overall a more balanced, fun game with players that will adapt and become skilled.
Sign below for the GHally to be hit with a more balanced 50% damage reduction nerf.......
EDIT: Now that I've your attention. Please watch the video for the true reason behind destiny's nerf. Peace out, open your eyes guys.....

8 RisposteSo they nerf a weapon that is great for PvE, which has no negative effect on you. This is how it will work, as others have stated. Those requiring Gjallarhorn in their group will require it even more to make up for the damage loss, invalidating your point. Nerf it more, it will be wanted more to join end game activities. As it stands, having one does nothing negative to anyone other than those requiring it in the group. Whoopie, it'll still be better than the selection to use by the majority of the community.

2 RisposteSimple solution...don't use it. Bam problem solved. Haven't raided in months and never saw the need for Ghorn, used Hunger of Crota for plenty of HM runs and it was fine. There are worse problems in this game than Ghorn's damage.

4 RisposteHaha nice b8 m8. In all honesty I'm fine with the nerf. I do believe they should buff other heavy exotics so the gally has some competition. Mainly dragons breath and thunderlord. Machine guns in general need a buff so they can compete with rockets and thunderlord needs a modifier added. One that does a slight burn for 3-5 secs and will stack 15-30 times per belt of ammo. Would make the heavy game more competitive, less stale and would help with the ghorn elitist (which aren't as rampant as they are made out to be.) the modifier for TL shouldn't work in PvP due to it slightly being to OP in that area if it had it.
