No damage fall off? YES!
High default stability? YES!
Lots of bouncy bullets? FUN!
The new buff will mean that Hardlight will have the following advantages over other rifles.
-Maximum aim assist
-Nearly max handling for lighting fast aiming
-No damage falloff negating the new range nerf
-10% more damage that other rifles of its rate of fire tier due to aggressive ballistics
-lightning fast reloads
-its new super skip round may ending up allowing for some interesting things!
Edit: I think it's funny that some people can't understand that "Hardlight projectiles" are all bullets fired from Hardlight and that the gun will have no damage fall off period. Please reread the patch notes if you are a misinformed person who things the no damage fall off buff is only for ricocheted bullets.

2 RisposteThe ricochet bullets won't have damage fall out
-
I can picture all the bungie executives sitting in their conference room drinking coffee like "I think we should make the hardlight the unbalanced weapon this time around". "Good thinking Johnson, that'll really get the community rattled up!" And that's how we have the thorn right now and the suros regime of past.
-
I love hard light use it all the time
-
"Scrubs that use hardlight have no skill. Bungie nerf" - skrub in September 15 "if you use thorn and blink shotgun u have no skill. Bungie nerf it already" - same skrub today This is just one of the few things we will see.
-
Its my favorite exotic(well, next to hawkmoon) Couldn't have said it better my self.
-
I've always liked my Hardlight. I have it and Suros Regime and the Hardlight is the only one that I have fully maxed. I can't wait to use it post 2.0 update.
-
6 RisposteDefinitely go into trials with it dude its really good.
Sarcasm
-
Modificato da dngodsell: 7/25/2015 11:14:27 PMYeah. What did you expect when bungie nerfs everything except one bullet hose and buffs it
-
I know this is an old post but i doubt hardlight will be that good
-
1 RispondiModificato da Hawaiin Breeze: 7/24/2015 7:06:34 AMHard light still sucks as much as it always has sucked. This thread is two months premature.
-
8 RisposteHard light sucks dude. Unless they max the impact it will forever suck. Suros is way better
-
I got a triple with is the other day from over penetration then the skip rounds
-
5 RisposteI don't know why people believe this to be true. It isn't getting a damage increase so it's TTK really isn't faster. Take a hardlight right now and go into rumble and ask your friend to go some place in the map and kill him once (don't be a douche and just do this the whole game). That should fairly accurately tell you how the gun will be. Since stability is being increased. Also damage falloff isn't even that impressive because even though it has good stability it isn't gonna be cross maping.
-
Yeah i think its interesting how nobody has mentioned this. With the general auto rifle buff and the hardlight buffs specifically, its about to be a god-tier weapon with no damage drop off alone.
-
Pulse rifles 4life
-
the patch will be out a week before TTK and when TTK comes with the new guns, Hardlight will be obsolete.
-
Wrong, scrub
It'll be good in September. ;)
-
Its going to be interesting to see how the AR's pan out. I'm really curious to see in PvP how Suros, and an un leveled Suros perform vs each other. I have one of both ready to go. Would love to see Hardlight get some love. I've always loved the sound of that gun.
-
2 RisposteYou can keep your hardlight! I'm gonna grease up my Suros Regime for some fudge packing action! AW YEAH BABY! (*fires gun into the air with groin vigorously thrusting*)
-
You sound like a salesman. In essence it's all bullcrap but the story is made up so I'd believe you.
-
Petition for a newgame mode: hatdlight only, bullets don't do damage unless they bounce.
-
Modificato da XavierTheGreatt: 7/23/2015 6:47:15 AMPretty sure it'll eventually get nerfed.
-
4 RisposteFvck you, NLB is best. Bungie should have nerfed it from the get go but with the new buff it's gonna be straight OP. Definitely dismantling my GHorn, since it's getting nerfed anyways, so I can upgrade my new TOTALLY OP NO LAND BEYOND.
-
"Now"? The patch isn't live..
-
2 RisposteThe stability will actually be about the same as it is currently due to the nerf to AR stability that is coming at the same time. Field Scout is being nerfed as well which will make it less effective and Fitted Stock is likely to be the better choice post-nerf. Those two points included though still leaves it in the realm of being a monster of a gun (not the best though as there are other weapons that will benefit more from the subtle changes to their weak points).

Necrochasm will win.
