No damage fall off? YES!
High default stability? YES!
Lots of bouncy bullets? FUN!
The new buff will mean that Hardlight will have the following advantages over other rifles.
-Maximum aim assist
-Nearly max handling for lighting fast aiming
-No damage falloff negating the new range nerf
-10% more damage that other rifles of its rate of fire tier due to aggressive ballistics
-lightning fast reloads
-its new super skip round may ending up allowing for some interesting things!
Edit: I think it's funny that some people can't understand that "Hardlight projectiles" are all bullets fired from Hardlight and that the gun will have no damage fall off period. Please reread the patch notes if you are a misinformed person who things the no damage fall off buff is only for ricocheted bullets.

2 RisposteModificato da AvalonTheCat: 7/21/2015 3:48:58 AMNo damage fall off for ricochet rounds
-
6 RisposteActually it's no damage falloff for ricochet rounds. In other words, we have THE DESTINY FIBBER WHOOOO!! Gather all my borderlands buddies!!
-
16 RisposteYou realize Bungie isn't dumb enough to make a sniper auto rifle with Hard Light. The bouncy projectiles experience no damage falloff, not the ones that first come out of the barrel. If YOU actually thought Hard Light would have no damage falloff, YOU are the misinformed one here lol. There's a reason they specifically said auto rifles would experience closer damage falloff.
-
11 RisposteHard light is still going to be affected by the changes made to all auto rifles with one of them being damage falloff is closer to emphasise the weapon is a close to medium range weapon.... You can't just go off what changes there making to a specific weapon because the other changes will also affect it. Lastly when they say projectiles they're referring to the bullets that ricochet.
-
8 RisposteThe no damage falloff is referring to projectiles that skip. Before hand the skip rounds did less damage than a regular round would at an extended range
-
Can kill yourself with it anywhere. -crouch and shoot foot. Anything with a glitch like that is always on the top of my list. Hard light is what I'm using right now even though I just got my first thorn and juju
-
19 RisposteThey worded it really weirdly, friend. Hard Light, even with the buff, will have damage falloff unless you're using it's skip rounds. Besides, even if it doesn't have a damage falloff, it takes half a clip to kill. You're outclassed by every other weapon.
-
14 RisposteBullets are hitscan so they wouldnt be refered to as projectiles its common sense.
-
7 RisposteIt's got to be the ones that bounce dumbass
-
So whats the verdict on this? Is it only projectiles which dont have damage drop off or is it all the bullets it shoots?
-
7 RisposteModificato da Vexrook: 7/22/2015 11:52:28 PMNo Damage falloff only applies to the bullets bouncing off the wall. In all honesty how well it does will depend more on the creativity of the user and range to other autos. Nechrocasm with buff, will wreck into Hardlight users at closer ranges sense it has the fast TTK of all autos, Suros at longer ranges, and its mostly on par with Monte Carlo. Edit: The 2.0 update is referring to the parts bouncing not the bullets fired from the gun.
-
6 RisposteNot all of the bullets do this...
-
7 RisposteModificato da Vendicta: 7/22/2015 11:24:41 PMThe "No Damage falloff" part only refers to ricocheted bullets, not from leaving the barrel of the weapon. Stop thinking that this auto rifle will be a full auto sniper haha get real scrubs !
-
7 RisposteI don't think the no damage falloff means infinite range. I think they are taking off the damage falloff when the bullets would bounce which I believe is how it works right now
-
11 RisposteIt is going to be no fall off to the bounce bullets.. bungie isn't that stupid
-
12 RisposteThe no damage fall of is for the rounds that have bounced off of a surface. Not when the first come out of the gun.
-
Thorn and matador still king
-
3 RisposteChanges: Increase base Stability to 80 (was 65) Increase bounce count for Hard Light projectiles Hard Light projectiles are not affected by Damage Falloff The above is from the patch notes. The OP may have a point. The notes are not exactly clear on whether Hardlight projectiles are those affected by the Volatile Light perk or just the projectiles as a whole. If the latter is true let the hate, tears and nerf cries commence.
-
1 RispondiThe no damage fall off is for the projectiles created by hardlight when bounced off the ground or wall. I know it wasn't specified in the update, Right now if you used hardlight and ricocheted rounds into a target, they take reduced damage. Making the perk lackluster.
-
7 RisposteRicochet rounds have no fall off. Normal firing does. Read the patch notes.
-
I tried so long to get people to see that it wouldn't have damage falloff and no one ever believed me!
-
It will get nerfed the crybabies always have their way which is infuriating.
-
3 RisposteI love how people are only starting to realise how good HL really is. I used way before the auto rifle nerf and it was amazing.
-
No damage fall off confirmed for all rounds you idiots!
-
I use it more and I snack the shit out of thorn and tlw users.
-
2 RisposteThe ricochet bullets won't have damage fall out
