15 RisposteHonestly I got beyond excited when I read the weapon patches. I am a player who loves diversity and always is changing my weapon setup, and I hate feeling penalized for using certain weapon types(auto rifles), and would still try and excel with them anyways. Will be nice to see certain weapons finally fit into niches, while others come back into play, and be able to customize load outs to balance out play styles. As a long standing cod player as well, over used and dominate weapons always get nerfed, there is no point of a game with tons of weapons where only one or two is viable. We should have to think and tailor or weapons and load outs to our play style, both pvp and pve wise. If anything this patch will diversify the weapons used, and rightly so, increase the difficulty of the game. Like this weeks nightfall was rightly difficult, which was refreshing from rolling through nightfall in 10 mins with a burn, the fact skolas feels rightly challenging, and the way hard mode Crota did even weeks into it. That's how all levels of the game should be so its nail biting action that requires precision, skill, and even patience, and actually feels rewarding once completed. Learn to gain some skill instead of relying on weapons to carry you through things. We also need too realize this begins year two of destiny and it is an ever changing game and ground. This patch isn't slated to drop till a week before the dlc, and that nothing is set in stone. More then likely they released these notes to get community feedback, and let's remember that there were atleast 2 weapons data mined aka 347 Vesta Dynasty, and Fate of All Fools that was supposed to be in this dlc but isn't. Even the dynasties perks were changed from what they originally were and it's still not in the game. So some of these changes may even change again. Regardless the only change I'm iffy about is the black hammer one, which I think should have some added benefit to white nail via something to gaining 1 bullet back and having the rest pulled from reserve. Regardless.... Technically Bad Juju is more op in its on respect in its unique perk, but it is also an exotic, as its mag is reset after a kill, gains damage and super energy which I find beyond amazing, even in PvP, I can usually outgun thorns n sometimes last words. Where as other things like confluxes I can run the whole section without reloading once and drop about 10 novabombs(probably more tbh). So honestly I feel the black hammer nerf is a bit over zealous with perks like that still running around, as both have their respective niches in use. It would be nice if fusion rifles got a makeover as they are the most underwhelming gun in the game, and seem that most balances seem to continue to hinder them rather then help, and at this point they practically need to be redesigned to fit a medium ranged niche for PvP and consistent dps for pve. In all the balances are well needed and will reinvigorate the game, more to most people's dislike, but regardless I am sure we will all be able to find some new exploited weapon to truck stick everything in sight, and that'll get changed as well, until a good equilibrium is found that allows all sorts of play styles to be effective. It promotes skill as well which the majority of the player base sorely lacks and the fact that you have to actually work for your rewards is the reason why you are all salty. Adapting just makes the game that much more entertaining, and practically molds it into a new one. So have an open mind, and if not me and my clan will hold your hand because your a blueberry and can't complete something or win even with your gjalla', final round, 111 last word ads proc, and thorn bullshit. Btw who even needs final round. Run efrideets with double down/field scout, defender/weapons and 1 shot anything that moves and be the real duschbag! Think outside the box, cause I'm still kicking your ass in rumble using the No Land Beyond.... Or use final round with weapons in pve, the final round itself is a weapons of light buff, and then quad damage. GG! Just food for thought. TL:DR Invigorating weapon balances. Diversify game play and play styles. Adapt. Black hammer nerf revision. Fusion rifles need a total makeover. Salt mine is real. L2P. Get Gud. Lose the crutches. Yea I have Gjalli and I can give a shit less about its nerf. That's how the cookie crumbles! Dueces!

2 RisposteIm fine with the tuning except the nerf to the ghorn, icebreaker, and blackhammer.
-
Only because the ghorn got nerfed. It was fine. Idk why they make it any harder in pve
-
1 RispondiWatch out for red death tho...I know you all will hate this but I think it's health restore should not be 100% everytime
-
Overall i think its decent. Icebreaker/ghorn nerf was uncalled for though
-
2 RisposteThere are 4 exotic guns in this game that feel " exotic". They just nerfed them. Ghally, thorn, ice breaker and hawk moon. Good job bungie.
-
7 RisposteA Gjallarhorn nerf is NOT what the PVE meta needed. You NEED to buff the other exotic heavies, or even change them entirely. As a try to explain to people, "Don't say there is a problem, and not offer a solution." Here are some easy suggestions to make the other heavies competitive. A close friend of mind came up with a few of these ideas a while ago but they got no attention, maybe they'll be seen here. Thunderlord- Already a good heavy to begin with, but its exotic perk is near useless when it becomes uncontrollable when you get into the higher stages of the fire rate. Just make it to where there is less of a recoil jump and that weapon will be fine. Truth- Make it to where the rockets speed up as they travel, and when they detonate, they detonate a second time, like a titan's magnetic grenade. Super Good Advice- Coming up with something for this gun is somewhat difficult, considering the corner it has been designed into. Dragon's Breath- This was my friends idea, but it is a complete rework of the weapon. His idea was to change the exotic perk from the lackluster thing it is now to something that is arguably awesome. He called it Tunguska Rounds, named after the anomalous Tunguska Event. This perk would dramatically change the way the weapon works. It would increase the weight of the weapon, slowing you down when you had it out, but also double the blast radius and give the rockets arc, like a grenade in short. Not only would it make Dragon's Breath a worthy weapon to take up an exotic slot, but it would give you a way to actually BURN THE WORLD. Gjallarhorn- Not a nerf or a buff per se, but just change its element to arc, we don't need two exotic solar rockets. These are obviously my own opinions and they may have no merit, but this is how I feel the PVE meta should be balanced, not hitting every weapon worth using with the nerf stick. (No I am not arguing that Thorn or The Last Word or Hawkmoon didn't need it. They did, and they got it. But I feel like they didn't need to hit handcannons in general as hard as they did. And what they did to fusion rifles is deplorable.) Anyways, Thats my two cents.
-
Overall I'm happy. I don't think Fusion Rifles are going to find their niche just yet though. I'm looking forward to my Monte Carlo/Claws Of Ahamkara combo again. That was fun.
-
17 RisposteWhy bother chasing that gallahorn or getting that thorn bounty if you are gonna take the advantage away?
-
Good bye black hammer
-
1 RispondiAbout the ghorn nerf
If you want people to stop requesting only groups with ghorn, then you should have added optional matchmaking, so those without could do that and those with it could choose whether or not to do it. You would have pleased more people doing that than nerfing the wolf pack rounds
-
BLAM no I think that buffing other guns like auto rifles and fusion rifles would expand the amount of options for crucible and other activities. Because we ( destiny community ) will always find op guns( ect Suros before patch and thorn, last word, ect now ) will just be more work for the game designers.
-
Discuss.
Hard to say Gotta go with no Nut if it is only thorn than yes
-
I understand thorn and last word though I do love those guns. BUT -blam!-IN GALLY AND BLK HAMMER!?!?!
-
5 RisposteI get the hand cannon/scout rifle issue and bumping the auto rifles but ice breaker and g-horn nerf??? They should let the community vote on each buff/nerf. Give us a week to vote. No one can complain and we are stuck with what we voted for. Simple, easy and done!
-
2 RisposteI'm not going to jump to conclusions - have to see how everything feels in game.
-
Lol I remember when everyone bitched before the first and second weapon patches, actually they still do but mostly about auto rifles which actually do quite well in crucible still Point is, nothing we say will get them to not implement these changes and after a few weeks will realize you were complaining for really no reason at all
-
5 RisposteI have all the weapons that are getting messed with because I have spent an ungodly amount of time playing this game. Hell, I just got my gally 3 weeks ago, and I've played for 21 days and 18 hours. That's including a 6 week break I took. Look, I have a life, and my Destiny time hinges on using weapons I've come to trust to accomplish things in a timely manner so I can get the things that actually matter in my life done. If this update goes through, and I can no longer accomplish my weekly Destiny events in a timely manner, I'm done with this game. You do realize that a bunch of awesome games are coming out pretty soon, right? Maybe you should consider that before everyone jumps ship on your game. Not to mention... PSN gets another year of exclusives?! That right there is enough to make me not want to play anymore. Bungie is petty and sometimes I wonder if they even play this game on a daily/weekly basis and try to accomplish the tasks set out for us guardians. There is a reason I only get 1 exotic gun, so make it awesome. If you give me a bullet sponge, I'm going to want the best bullets, and you're basically taking them all away. What you're doing is insanity, and I'll seriously stop playing the second this update hits. All I wanna know is, who's comin' with me man?
-
Buff thorn
-
5 RisposteTo everyone complaining. Gally will still be a beast, it will still do more damage than other launchers. Reason it was nerfed was because the owners of them went full retard and said you required it for raids, and PoE. It melted bosses too quickly. Blackhammer was nerfed because you had infinite shots against bosses. This might have been nerfed due to oryx having a huge crit spot. But 21 rounds without reloading gets you to around 63,000 damage, it will decrease camping in PvE and cause players to get ammo. Remember we have ammo synthesis as well. Icebreaker was used in a few cheeses. The bridge on Crota, and oracles on VoG. They nerfed it hopefully to decrease people that sit and cheese. You barely even notice the ammo timer anyways, due to shooting your first round out of 6 and burning through 3 you will get one, and maybe more with mulligan.
-
Wow Gally, you could have a least have spit on it bungie.
-
rather not have the pulse nerfing
-
5 RisposteOh and you let us reforge weapons, then when we spend ALL of our weapon parts and get something how we like it you then take it away from us. So you are PUNISHING us for using an option you gave us??? How lame is that. You should have never let us reforge. Weapons would have been more rare looking for perks.... And to nerf the Gally cause people are requesting you have one just to be on a fireteam... GUESS WHAT PEOPLE WILL STILL REQUEST THAT!!! Leave our guns alone. Dammit man you are going to lose a lot of followers....
-
They obviously we're not thinking of the ice breaker in the aspect of pvp that was my pvp baby
-
8 RisposteLeave the Black hammer alone! So your telling me if I have only three rounds then the white nail perk is gone? Come on man that's BS
-
I feel apathetic about playing the game anymore. Nerfing PvE is getting to be too much to bare. Popular items are doomed by their popularity. I can't bring myself to care about the hamster wheel if the popular treats are going to be devalued simply because they're popular. Unpopular weapons remain unpopular because of they're misdesign but we get herded to them because nerfing, not buffing For a game so swept up in psychology they really need to look at the psychology behind their weapon nerfing patches.
