Anyone think etheric light will be cut out of the game for The Taken King?
-
If u have old stuff still, it is best maxed and ascended again to make it powerful
-
1 RispondiI think the best solution would be to introduce an etheric light-type item that you would only get 1 for each character higher than level 32. This way we are able to only ascend three or less of our favorite legendaries to the max attack value. This would be cool because all of the people who join in Year Two won't have those guns. And we will be able to show them off. They should be more effective then just a trophy piece.
-
It will still ascend year 1 gear to the max level of year 1. And they've talked about an exchange in the future.
-
Nope bungie wants us to suffer
-
5 RisposteEtheric Light allowed you to wear VoG or Vanilla gear and still be level 34. It corrected a massive fault with Destiny - Customization, personal preference. Now? Back to step one. 'Wear this TTK gear and look like the same as everybody else!"
-
everything from Beta 1.0 will be useless in Beta 2.0
-
3 RisposteWe have no idea. I think etheric light will allow upgrades to the new weapon lvl (400). But EL won't work on new TTK weapons or gear.
-
15 RisposteYeah, which was always my problem with it. They released a decent mechanic, knowing full well that it would be obsolete to players in a matter of months. Which is why I had trouble finding the motivation to grind for it. Tbh this is why I struggle to grind for anything in Destiny anymore. Everything I grind for, they just make useless in the next few months. It leaves me wondering what's the point in grinding for it in the first place.
-
They will have to, or create a different etheric. Because some people have it stockpiled, and will max all their gear before the first quest in ttk. Fingers crossed to go back to the old raid method and not this nonsense.
-
I think they should keep etherics for weapons only. It's far too easy to get to 34 right now. As far as new weapons go buy give kinda boned themselves by making the most epic shit during vanilla. They better get creative or let me ascend my weapons, fatebringer will never get old
-
1 RispondiThe weapon balance they haven't addressed in months will be solved by a new balance with new weapons. Problem solved
-
1 RispondiDestiny will need some version of it. Otherwise why would new people do the old raids or PoE if the gear becomes obsolete? Also, there needs to be more exotics in this expansion added to the loot tables in the old raids. That way, experienced people and new people with have reasons to do new and old raids. On a side note, I'm glad for etheric light. If the only way to become a 34 was to wear the same armor as everyone else, then it would look boring.

10 RisposteModificato da MarioMan9112: 7/14/2015 2:29:03 PMIn a funny way it needs to be obsolete, I know it's an unpopular opinion and I love my VOC but we need to start leaving past weapons in the past, at least where legendaries are concerned, exotics should be upgradable forever, legenedaries no. I say this because personally as much as I like fatebringer and VOC I don't wanna be using them in destiny 6. I want to get excited for new weapons with expansions. Whens the last time you saw someone excited to use a HOW weapon over a vanilla destiny weapon? Also no one is saying it can't be used for the same purpose it is now to bring stuff up to year one strength and no further.

7 RisposteI want them to be useless. I want NEW guns. Fatebringer is good I get it. But I want a gun that has the same or better perks that looks completely different. I want variety not just using my VoC. let them make new shit. If we keep up the I WANT TO USE MY VERY FIRST LEGENDARY then Bungie doesn't have to make new guns or perks because everyone will stick with the old shit. It's boring and bland and a waste
-
Yes. Start throwing that money at the screen!
-
2 Rispostethrow money at your screen and find out!
-
9 RispostePersonally I believe bungie is just trying to make it a challenge to keep your old gear. If you love your gear then you will do what it takes to move it from one year to the next even if it is easier to grab new easy to get gear. I like this because then when people see your year 1 crota raid gear in year 6 they have a reason to be impressed. I'd like to think someday my gear will be unattainable and that makes the time it took to get that gear to the next year that much more worth it.
-
Ya I'm confused... I think Bungie is confused.
-
2 Rispostethey're already becoming useless this HoW dlc seems to be a filler for the TTK and is losing its dedicated players. i know my friends list has maybe 2 left from the 20 or so guardians from TDB. E lights are easy to obtain and people are leveling in a week or less to the max so its definitely useless after you reach 34 with a couple of 365 guns. this game already needs more content. they should of never chopped and formed this game like beef jerky. now its all salty.
-
If they kept it for armor and exotics but removed legendary weapons yea i guess
-
I hope so. I personally never wanted etheric light to be a thing
-
Fine with me. I'd like to see new weapons across the board. I'm sure there will be some new method to upgrade favorites. If not, it will be time to find new favorites.
-
Yep. That is the end of year one, so...
-
I wish they kept material as a way of leveling and saved etheric light for old gear. Having to use etheric light to level Queens gear and brand new legendaries make them less appealing.
-
Bump!!!!!!!
