The Great Anti Thorn Movement
I am getting TIRED of all these THORNS two or three shotting me or getting killed by the POISON and also not to mention almost 50% or more USE it in Crucible... Bungie, DELETE THE DAMN GUN. Or- nerf it. Heck. Make it a squirt gun. Or do SOMETHING- for once.

8 RisposteYou guys just suck, people use thorn because they lack the skill to use an actual good gun, thorn and the last word are strong but you just have to learn to not be a scrub, I've beaten a team of thorns in ToO with a nlb once and a suros regime once as well, the look of terror as they inspected me must have been great.

We want to preserve the functionality that makes Thorn such a compelling weapon, but its effective range and lethality are one of the most hotly contended items by the PVP player base. The base changes to Hand Cannons and weapon stats address Thorn’s range. Changes: Reduce base damage of Thorn’s Mark of the Devourer DoT (Damage over Time) to roughly 1/3 of what it was in PVP and PVE Allow DoT to stack up to 5x across multiple landed projectiles This is a net buff for Thorn’s DoT, but reduces the lethality of the weapon in PVP [spoiler]nerfed it by buffing it. Sound good to me.[/spoiler]

Just use it to like every other idiot would do counter Thorn with thorn that's it. It's a part of the game for now so stop complaining about it. God forbid if all your crying actually makes a difference than hey more power to you isn't that what America is these days anyway cry and get your way.

Thorn is supposed to 2 shot, headshot kill. The problem right now that is breaking thorn, is the final round glitch allowing for 2 shot kills when one is a body shot.

3 RisposteI used to feel the same way as you honestly. But, I've gone flawless too many times to count since Osiris dropped, and I would honestly say at least 2/3 of the opponents I faced were thorn users. Constantly seeing that made me realize how you can successfully beat the thorn, not just counter. You're problem most likely is that you don't have the weapons needed to overcome the thorn, so in turn you think that something should be done about it I think the only thing that needs to happen is the DOT damage drops from 7 to 5. It'll go from a 2 shot kill to a 3 shot but leave the guardian with no health whatsoever
