A bit tactless of bungie to say that 7/7 is destiny day or bungie day or whatever they're calling it, when it's a day that was wrought with terror for Londoners. I doubt people would appreciate it if they called 9/11 bungie day just because they happened to release their game that day (I know they didn't). But still it's the principal of the matter

25 RisposteIt's unfortunate that the two anniversaries fall on the same day. The bombings were a very tragic thing, but I would like to point out that Bungie Day has been around far longer than the official day of 2007. Years before that it started within the community because of Bungie's love of the number seven. Bungie made the day official in 2007 as an announcement that they were becoming independent again.

1 RispondiIt's so cool how people always find a way to bitch and cry.
-
Do your research. Bungie Day has been around long before the 7/7 attacks. Please, think before you spew out false statements.

4 RisposteHere in Colorado, 4/20 is a massive celebration. Everyone (and I mean everyone) gets stoned, chills outside, and just has a great time. There are big events all over Denver, people take the day off, etc. We treat it like a real holiday, and we all love it. 4/20 is also Hitlers bday and the anniversary of the Columbine shootings, which happened here in our state. Moral of the story:
don't let the terrible events of the past negatively affect your life in the future. The past is the past. It already happened, and that can't change. Remember it, learn from it, mourn if the situation calls for it, but don't let it control you.
7 RisposteModificato da Lord Vetinari: 7/7/2015 3:23:03 PMAs a brit, who has/had family affected by the 7/7 attack, I want to say.... Knock this rubbish off, holding these events on a pedestal is EXACTLY what a terror attack wants to do, be remembered in infamy. well bugger them, its BUNGIE DAY This overly sensitive, lets all have a hug, happy, happy, joy joy, modern outlook makes me want to throw up in my own shoes
-
5 RisposteLondon bombing what is that? That have to do with guy fawkes?
-
World Domination is apart of Bungie's 10 year plan. Where were you?
-
Sensitive people will always find some bullshit excuse to ruin one thing or another
-
Because this is the only day ever in history where something bad happened
-
What if...Bungie did it o_O?
-
My guess is Bungie knew but Bungie doesn't care. They just want everyone's money. They don't give a shit about their customers. I'd love to see someone from Bungie prove me wrong but they won't, they'll just brush this under the rug and pretend it never happened.
-
3 RisposteI'm just glad Bungie finally got the date right, 7/7 (dd/mm). Oh and I'm pretty certain 7/7 is Bungie Day because their fav number is 7. Why should they change it because of a terrorist attack. Btw nothing bad happened on 9/11, so I don't know what you're on about there. 11/9, on the other hand...
-
2 RisposteWhere did suzy go during the bombing.
Everywhere.
-
The fact is a tragic event can be traced to pretty much every day of the year. By your standard no one could ever do anything. I am not saying the London bombing should be over looked by any means but say well this happened on this day so you can't do anything else come on man.
-
I think we need to let go of these things, seriously. Dropping everything over these terrorist attacks isn't gonna change what happened.
-
It's been bungie day since 2007 it has nothing to do with any bombing the works doesn't revolve around London
-
1 RispondiIf the London bombings occurred after 2007 then your argument is invalid. This has been a recurring event for Bungie for 8 years now. INFORMATION FOR THE MASSES!
-
15 RisposteIf we ban celebrations for every anniversary of an act of terrorism, then the terrorists have won.
-
On this day in 1967 - Beatles' "All You Need is Love" was released... Just sayin...
-
Bungie Day Was kind of a thing before the terrorist attacks. That's like asking people to change December 25 into a Memorial Day if a terror attack happened in it, no it would still be Christmas.
-
Well -blam!-... I'm bummed out now... Tsk...

1 RispondiFor those of you who didn't know the 7/7 terrorist attack occurred (obviously) on 7/7 in 2005. They were a series of coordinated suicide bombing attacks which killed 52 and injured around 200. 3 bombs were detonated in the London Underground on busy trains or stations and a fourth bomb was detonated on a double decker bus.

I hope you aren't serious with this post. The ignorance shown here is stunning
-
You're an idiot. Bungie, as a company, likes the number 7 and makes 7/7 every year a celebration for themselves. How does this have ANYTHING to do with London bombings? They aren't trying to put Bungie Day on the calanders for F's sake.

I'm from UK and I find your statement retarded...
