I can't stand this shit anymore
I played a lot of IB and Cruicible in the last few days.And by no means I'm not the best player but I can pull out a 15 streak fairly easy.In COD I hold a 3 KD and the guns are (even thoe there are Op guns like ACR/MP7 aswell) more balanced than in this game.Everybody uses the -blam!-ing thorn and people get mad when people complain about this topic.The gun is OP and everyone who defends it is either one of those noobs playing the thorn all day long or just a fully retarded idiot.If you try to be "funny" you'll get muted so just write constructive criticism or gtfo.
*some people are to dumb to read.Everyone telling dumb shit or trying to make fun out of this topic will get ignored.And btw please try to own me in COD.(that will never happen^^ Don't call people scrubs if you're bad as hell)

This game was not built around the online PVP game like COD or BF was. Hence all the one hit kill methods in this game. This game will NEVER be a serious FPS when you can one hit kill your enemies at the rate and frequency of this game. That's why you won't a single MLG'er worth his salt playing this game's PVP.

Thorn could use some tweaking but it's not that bad but you have to adjust to thorn. For example you can't stand out in the open and dual thorn that dot will get you even if you kill him. You have to move in and out of cover when fighting thorn and know when you can overcome the dot and when you can't. Does thorn need tweaking? Sure it does but it's not as crazy OP as some make it.

3 RispostePeople who say Thorn is perfectly fine are lying to themselves. If it was fine then you would see other guns in the crucible. I don't blame players for using the best weapon. That is smart. Do what you have to do to get the advantage on the enemies. But the Thorn makes you one shot if shot in the head and burn keeps you from regaining health. Giving the advantage to the player using Thorn. Combine that with range and the Thorn can be annoying. Also, the green junk on the screen is annoying. Either nerf this gun OR buff other guns to be competitive with it.

12 RisposteThorn doesnt need a nerf. They need to roll back all weapon stats to pre-AR nerf, except pulse rifles, and give Scouts a small buff. Nerfing guns never achieves "balance", it only widens the gap between "OP", and average weapons.

I agree thorn usage has gotten out of control, it's used way too much. I highly doubt Bungie will do anymore weapon balancing, I just don't see it for some reason. Have you noticed how Bungie has made destiny? They've made the pvp to be played like Halo. Pulse rifles Scout rifles Pistols Heavy ._. Halo ^

Yeah, people don't want to admit it because it will make them bad if it is nerfed but thorn is way OP! It is a beast 2 shot kill at crazy range. I should not be ruined but it needs a small nerf. Yeah TLW is OP at close range. Any long range fights and it gets shit on (if you say it isn't you must be bad at aiming to counter it or you are killing utter nubs with it).

Well, this game isn't COD, so you'll just have to learn how to adjust. Yes, Thorn is, at the moment, one of the most used weapons in Pvp due to it's OP status from its ability to cause lingering damage on each shot. And yes, the weapon has become a major problem ever since the weapon balance patch. Supposedly, there will soon be another weapon re-balance somewhere between now and the Taken King. I suggest waiting patiently for them to finally address this. In the meantime, there are several counters to Thorn. A few of the most suggested are Last Word, Red Death, the Messenger, and Hawkmoon. Personally, I like the Fulcrum handcannon from FWC. While the enemy is frantically spraying Thorn shots, I can just triple tap them in the head and continue on my merry way.
