Relic holders?
So who can use the relic in VoG? I'm only wondering because I did vault on a friend's system.
He/I was level 34 with 5 other random 34's. We were at Templar(on hard) and they wanted me to not use relic since I had the only Gjallarhorn. So I asked 'Who knows how to use the relic?'
Dead silence. Then one said
'What's a relic?'
So now I'm wondering.....
How many can use the relic? Is it a dying art?

I can run relic for whole raid and sword on crota, not just Templar relic.

That's what happens when people think they're skill full for spamming Gjallarhorns at a boss that stays in the same spot. They forgot what skill is and how to actually complete the encounter

I've spent countless hours teaching a member of my crew how to use the Relic both directly and indirectly. He can use fairly well now give or take a few wipes. I had to teach myself via observation, youtube plus trial and error. Now I can use it flawlessly as well as offensively in all aspects of VoG. It's fun and I do duff up sometimes mainly in the Templar stage if I try to block his nearest teleport location, when I return to my rock, I can get over run by harpy'.

Im relic holder with all the teams I usually do vog, and also swordbearer for crota for a long time

I do...it's a nice change from gun play. So I grab it...but if we don't have the dps to bring down templar/atheon/crota shield. I'm pretty salty

I'm the go to relic holder on both Vog and Crotas end, idk why it just seems fitting

I can do both but my clan has designated raiding parties(makes things really simple since we all have different schedules and don't need to hunt for people) and my group has a designated relic holder and sword bearer and I'm the alt.

The second week that VOG was out my first raid team taught me how to do relic. I've been doing it ever since. I actually hate not getting the relic.

I've done a lot of VoG runs cause I've done all endgame PvE and I have my Necrobumpasm so there's no need to do Crota anymore. VoG is usually pretty fun, just running it and helping new guys beat it for the first time. But your definitely right. It's even difficult sometimes for Atheon himself, like people don't know how to jump and hit RT a bunch and then hold LB while standing on a platform. It's only annoying when there's no other ballhard players like myself in the game, as I have to sacrifice DPS with my good weapons to ensure we have a good relic holder.

I can run relic quite easily, for DPS reasons I'll drop it real quick and fire off two Gally shots.

I had a kid last week ask if he could run relic during Templar & to walk him through it on the fly. I was shocked that we didn't wipe once & that he followed my instruction perfectly. Then at Gatekeepers, he soloed Venus while I soloed Mars & again, he got it on the first try. I wish everyone I came across was that dedicated to learning how to do it, because it has been [i]really[/i] frustrating lately when I ask who's going into Venus and no one says a word..

1 Rispondii know how to run relic in VOG i was even one of our main relic guys./ that said, i have NOT tried to use sword, and sword doesn't interest me in crotas end.
