The taken king outrage.
3 new supers, a new strike, a new raid and yet a £40/$40 price tag.
Plus one of the missions is behind a can of redbull and two strikes are exclusive to PS and came out a year ago which we only get now on the xbox. Despite the game having very little content at launch.
For a game so lacking in content how do bungie justify the price tag? For £40 I would expect atleast 15 story missions, atleast 3 new strikes and atleast 2 raids. Plus an assortment of new features and some longevity. It's no joke to say this game is half arsed.
500 million dollars and yet it's barely got any depth of back story. It's plot is convaluted and shallow at the best of times.
Bungie you aren't the same anymore. It isn't us it's you.
Any respect I once had for this wonderful company is dead and gone.
To you the fan boys. You ruined this industry. Not companies like Activision. If people like you didn't just throw your cash at things and stood your ground we wouldn't get games like destiny. Half baked cash farms. Or broken games at launch because they wouldn't get away with it. But because you lie their and take this of off them they do. They are laughing at you and you are their defending then and it makes me cry for an industry i used to love.

I don't think they've said how many story missions there are yet, have they? Still waiting for more information before I make my assessment... Time will tell if ttk sounds worth the $40 or not for me.

1 RispondiLol you're horribly misinformed. There's going to be many new strikes, along with revamped old ones. The $60 base game came with 1 raid, why should $40 give you two? They haven't revealed how many quests there are, so you can't say anything on that. There's also new exotic bounties.

Can forget all the new weapons. Most games with cheap DLC only limit to maps for multiplayer. With Destiny it's new everything.

1 RispondiPeople seem to forget we get the red bull mission January 2016. Also there is more than one strike and there is going to be updated raids with taken enemies. Finally there is going to be close to 15 missions

What determines a price? What people are willing to pay. People are willing to pay $40 for TTK, so bungie shouldn't need to change it. Personally, this is my second most played game. Destiny has plenty of very loyal fans that keep the game going. One thing I do disagree with, however, is the DLC costing more over seas. Other than that, I stand by the $40 price tag along with the Redbull deal. Destiny isn't the first game to do this. Many others have done special deals in the past. It could have been at a better time though, considering the Luke Smith thing.

5 RisposteYou might want to reread the weekly offering. It states that there are four new strikes and, the three Mars strikes are being reworked into new strikes, using the same maps. I don't necessarily disagree with you, but you need to check the details first.

2 RisposteWell if you look at the details, it states there's a lot of new story missions, strikes, a Raid, and new game changing features. The game is almost another game in itself. I can see your frustration but it's came a long way since its Vanilla stage. Bungie has learned this past year and is planning on fixing it by offering what the game should've been to begin with. So the $40 price tag is acceptable in my opinion. If it was just like Expansion I or II I would be like, "wtf Bungie?!" But it's not. At least it's advertised that way. If for some reason they just take your money and run with it, then stop putting money into Destiny and put into Fallout 4, Halo 5, or Battlefront, or even any other game that interest you this coming holiday. You have options.

Here's a pro tip from a 38 year old who's been gaming since the early 80's: Video games nowadays are quite a bit better now then they were back in the day. It also costs a shit ton of money to create, distribute, and maintain these games. Did you think magic fairies did all the work? No. So then, how the fukk are game developers supposed to create these amazing games and bring them to us if there are no big money corporations willing to front the sometimes hundreds of millions of dollars it costs to bring them to your living room? I'm not trying to hate on you kid, (I can only assume you're a youngling), but in the real world you need millions and millions of dollars to create these games, and you damn well better believe that the corporations who pay the bills are expecting a decent ROI.

Also from what I understand there will be story missions. I guess 15 years ago when I didn't have a job $40 was a big deal. And the industry died along time ago, long before destiny. For me it was when Westwood studios got bought by EA disappeared.

People will buy what they want. If they feel TTK is worth $40 then they have the right to buy it, regardless of what you or I think. It cost money to keep the company running and they don't take loyalty points or in-game hours as payment unfortunately
