I ran across this post last night. I enjoyed it and felt it deserved to be a main post.

I too have spent $100 dollars or less on dumb shit
- $40 on tickets and snacks to see Pitch Perfect with my wife
- $50 on the coolest phone case I could find
- $80 for a steam mop because regular mops aren't good enough (couldn't justify the $120 mop though... But it had a sprayer on it)
- $0.76 to crank a penny into a flatten image of a buffalo at the summit of Pikes Peak
- $75 for two tickets to ride the train to the summit of Pikes Peak, because driving up it isn't the same thing
- $15 on Doom the movie (damnit Dwayne Johnson)
- $14 for GameStop membership
- Filled my gas tank with premium for a month just to say I did
- Buying albums from iTunes... Even though I have Spotify
I get that everyone has their own budget, but I can only assume everyone has made unnecessary purchases relative to how much they make.
So, let us hear about your senseless spending and keep this going!
Enjoy.
EDIT: 100+ replies and trending on top. Thanks guys! Love the stories! Although I can't say I support each and every choice, but you guys are still making me laugh. Good break from work!
Got another one - dinosaur and Star Wars costumes for our dogs... Although it was my wife's idea, I fully supported this...
EDIT: 500 thank you everyone for lowering my productivity at work, lowering my IQ at times, making me feel both intelligent and a feel like a dumbass at the same time, all while making me laugh.
And in response to some of the more negative posts (surprising very few), the purpose of this was to build off of one person's post and just to bullshit with you all. But on a deeper note, I believe that the value of an object, tangible or not, is defined by the individual. They can gain all the support they want or receive all the opposition possible. In the end, it's that individual's decision whether or not that object is worth the price to obtain it. We are all different and have different opinions on value. And from the looks of things, it's probably safe to say we have all made a purchase beyond logic.

1 RispondiThe price doesnt bother me much. I am by no means rich, but $40 is not going to have me and my family eating ramen noodles and can corn. Just the interview ticked me off.

For the Fallout 4 pip-boy edition I could literally buy 3 taken King dlc's... ... Totally worth it...

Eating a full meal at five guys costs me $15. Totally worth it, but I'll trade a couple burgers for TTK and those fancy CE goodies. Idgaf

$300 on a Sony tv $60 a piece for 19 ps4 games $20 a piece for some ps vita games $200 for the slim ps vita even though I had the day one.. $25 on fraps at Starbucks for Co workers $30 on food $300 in total on NX cash for Maplestory To the people complaining about the price, $40 is nothing compared to what we spend overtime In life. If you don't want the DLC there is no need to get it. Stop ruining it for everyone else who wants and will enjoy it

3 RisposteA night out for me with the guys typically runs me from $75-$100. A night out with my wife $100-$250. NFL Sunday Ticket so I can watch my Giants (I live in Miami now) is $250~. MLB extra innings is roughly the same (Mets fan). The last movie I saw in theaters was "Her" with Joaquin Phoenix & Scarlett Johanson, and the total endeavor cost about $50. I recently spent $180 on Mets vs Marlins tickets for my wife and I. Absolutely nothing that I just stated represents and hourly value anywhere close to Destiny (by a factor of 100). This is why I can't seem to understand the complaints. I bought the physical CE and I'm sticking with it, because I am a reasonable man and I see the value in it, as well as wanting to support Bungie for the thousands and thousands of hours of entertainment they have provided me with over the last 15 years.
