*UK PLAYER'S* TTK £40 price tag? Destiny was £40/$60 TTK is £40/$40
How do you feel about the price of TTK DLC being £40 = $62.79 I simply cannot understand it. Why do we have to pay an extra $22.79 for a digital download?!
$40 = £25.55, add the 20℅ VAT the UK pays, and you are at £30.66 Not £40.
They have valued TTK at $40, not the price of a full game which is $60. Yet over here in the UK its valued at £40, which is the price of a full game. (Fallout 4 will be £42)
I bought Destiny brand new at release for £41.99, now they want £40 for TTK. It doesn't have as much content as vanilla Destiny did, so how can they charge the same price?
I know there any many more currencies affected, I'm just using it as its my currency.
Another point to make is, the day TTK was announced for purchase on the Xbox store it was £27.99 ($43.53) After 24 hours they bumped it to £40.
Can we at least get some answers please Bungie/Activision?

5 RisposteActivision sees that it can milk other countries even further and try to hide the unfair pricing. Too bad people aren't as stupid as they think and can figure it out very quickly. It should be close to equal prices for everywhere. I say close to equal because the cost of shipping to other countries is going to increase the price a small amount but not by $20

If you are on Xbox (by your user name you might be lol) just change your console region to US and vuy it for $40 it will convert to £ based on the current currency values.

Simple to me. It sucks balls but if you enjoy the game enough youll buy it. I paid 70 in Australia but I dealt with it.

2 Risposte£40 is certainly a rip off, I love this game and I've been playing since day 1, bought both the expansions and had every intention of buying TTK, but recently I've found myself playing less and less Destiny (I've hardly played since ESO came out) and I'm wondering whther I'll bother getting TTK. If it was around £25-£30 then yes, I'll buy it, but I'm not paying an extra £15 for exactly the same content that the US are getting for about £25! It's not on. If things stay the way they are, with the price being elevated for no reason other than Activision can't be bothered to think about exchange rates, and I'm still playing ESO more than Destiny then I'm afraid Bungie you have lost me. Lets see how the next couple of months go but at the moment I'm thinking I'm not buying it!

5 RisposteFor the 1/5 American who thinks that it's because of taxes or that it's just more expensive in UK in general you are wrong. All other companies like the one selling metal Gear Solid 5 and fallout 4 are selling it fairly. A 60usd game for £42 over here. Even dlc is never 40usd to 40gbp here but around 32gbp. ONLY destiny does 40usd to 40gbp. Ofc we can fork over extra cash to get it, but it's the principle. You go to an ice cream shop to buy something for 5gbp, the next day u go and they say it's now 8gbp cos we are greedy and we know you like it, doesn't make me want to buy it. I can afford it but I'll feel like I've been ripped off.

The US price is listed without their version of vat so compare £32 to $40 and at least get it right before shedding tears. It's €50.02. We have ALWAYS paid more for everything so deal with it.

English minimum wage - $10.48 per hr American minimum wage - $7.25 per hr That's approximately a 31% difference 31% of 40 is 12. 40+12=$52 leaving $10 for profit, taxes, regulations etc..... Aussies minimum wage is $17.28 per hr. Do the math from there

1 RispondiMcDonalds is another popular American brand. Buy their wares for a family, two adults/ two children you'll pay £20 or maybe more and that will last you 15/20 minutes at most. TTK costs twice that, your team will be three or six people. A quick look at the numbers says to me that if TTK content last even 40 minutes, we've meet a generally accepted critetia for value for money versus enjoyment. Maybe slightly tongue in cheek. But only slightly.

I don't get why the community managers haven't commented on a single thread regarding the pricing outside of US, even if it's just to say that's the price we want and we aren't changing or discussing it. Any kind of message would be nice.

I totally agree. Even with the higher taxes here I would expect it to be £30. It is totally ridiculous. And before anyone spouts it must be cause of minimum wage etc... That has nothing to do with it.
