Title says it all. Who is satisfied with the compromise for year one players? Who think we deserve more (or maybe even less)?
Let me know what you all think

2 RisposteThe only thing that justified the 80 dollar price tag on the CE was all the physical extras included. Charging 20 dollars for the extra digital stuff seems ridiculous to me since those items do not add anything meaningful to the game.
-
1 RispondiThey gave you exactly what you spent all week whining for. The extra items in the $80 bundle without having to re-buy the game. Guess what, strip the $60 legendary edition out of the collector's edition and you get the left over items at $20. Exactly what you asked them to do. It's funny now how no one wants these items. It's very clear, like always, they were simply whining for the sake of whining.

We've come full circle. This solution is this gen's Horse Armor. I couldn't care less, personally. I'll probably buy the Taken King, because with each DLC, Bungie seems to be improving. I loved the House of Wolves and if I can get that, but MORE of that... $40 is fine. I will never buy a shader/emote package at $20 though. But I'm sure some people will need to have their special horse armor. At least they gave those of you excited for this the option to throw money at it without buying things you already own. I am pleased with Luke's apology too. I do remember him from his Halo days (and that awful drawing), so it's good to see him own up to his remarks like that. Things can get taken out of context or with a different inflection when read on an internet gossip site as opposed to hearing it from his lips yourself.

21 RisposteI am, but half of this community thinks it's free to make this stuff, so they want it free. I'm sure it costs close to 20$ maybe more to make this content. Don't believe me? Well first you have to pay the people working on it. Minimum wage in Seattle is 11 dollars, and will rise to 15. That means if Bungie is making this dlc for under 20$ then only 1 person is making it, which I find unlikely but possible. That being said Bungie and activision are making a profit of 9$ for each purchase, and that 9$ has to be split between Bungie and activision. So tell me, why should veteran players get this content for free?

Modificato da bobswerski: 6/25/2015 1:45:50 PMYes. If some idiot was that angry that newbs were getting some shader and emote he didn't have, he can now pay the $20 and stfu. For the rest of us who thought they were wasting everyone's time by making Bungie respond to a bunch of whining instead of fixing our actual issues about the actual game, we can only hope it can all go away now.
-
Just remember as well, the stuff for year one players isn't fully revealed yet. We should know more after the second part of the update today. I did like the fact that the stuff we get will be permanently exclusive for year 1 players though.

4 RisposteI want to know why content is being removed from the $40 version and being sold separately? Why aren't these emotes and class items included in the $40 version for all year one players? $40 is already a lot of money for a DLC, and on top of that they're not even giving us the complete DLC they're cutting some badass emotes and class items out? What kinda BS is this. I'm a college student living on a budget. Destiny and gaming in general is my form of entertainment cause it's pretty cheap. I want all this new stuff coming out, but you guys are seriously asking for too much money for the amount of stuff we're getting. $60 is a lot of money to a full time college student and a part time employee. That's half my weeks paycheck. I can't spend that type of money on DLCs I have other necessities. I miss the days when $60 bought you a complete game. Now all these gaming companies are chopping games up and selling them in pieces as DLC for more and more money. WTF guys that's not cool! We shouldn't support this crap!
-
TTK is $40, but 3 shaders, 3 emotes, and 3 class items are $20? That's half the price of the full DLC? Jesus, this was supposed to be a solution not another rip-off.
-
Just glad they stepped up and made it right, it's good that Luke Smith said something. You are forgiven, and we all make mistakes.
-
The legendary edition with Destiny, TDB, HoW, and TTK is $60. The digital download of TTK plus the extra stuff for $20 is also $60.
-
Doesn't matter, I'm not going to buy their DLC anymore.
-
Maybe a little more, like a ghost shell or glimmer throwing emote.
-
Here's what I would be OK with. Taken King expansion only=$40 Taken King with emotes and shaders=$50 Taken King with emotes and Cause Cache=$60 Why is that so hard for Activision to figure out? More options=more sales duh
-
we won. how could you not be happy?
-
my guardians wear faction emblems all the time They also wear faction shaders emotes are a waste of the d pad I just want a vehicle that holds a fireteam - some sort of turret gun would be nice
-
Hell no!!! The 9 items going for $20 dollars has me thinking Bungie has went full retard.. This is basically a huge bundle of microtransactions.. At most this bundle should be 5 bucks. Throw in the taken king physical stuff like the strange coin and other items is the only way to justify the $60 price tag on this dlc content. It's a damn expansion. I'm really concerned for the longevity of this game now.. Bungie fix this.. Don't go full retard.
-
Compare Activisions practice of sell everything for a profit and I just want money to a game like the Witcher 3 who still wants some money but cares about the work they do and throw in free dlc every week, I would say every 3 weeks equals destiny's the dark below
-
Some fluff for 20 bucks!? Try harder Bungie.
-
Stupid shaders and a new dance. Honestly. How about crucible lag, an actual gameplay problem at the very top of the list?
-
43 RisposteOf course people voted no. This community is full of a bunch of ungreatful idiots. They wanted a stand alone version of that stuff yet they're still not satisfied.
-
23 RisposteAre people really going to spend $20 dollars on top of the DLC for 3 emotes, class items and a shader????
-
2 Risposte$20 ( probably be £20 too ) for 3 emotes, shaders and class items?! They -blam!-ing serious? That's the price of the whole damn DLC's lol. $10 at most would have been more appropriate. Anyone praising this needs their head looking at, and no, I was never interested in these things anyway so save your 'stop being poor and butt hurt' replies. All this has done is opened the door for micro transactions in future.
-
I think it would be more reasonable to sell the Collector's Edition stuff for $10-15. Cause we know most people will buy it.

1 RispondiThe solution was good - the ripoff price of £20 is not.
-
I don't even want to have the class items to boost XP, I don't want to rush through the content like I did with the others, maybe it is a good size of content but if it gets rushed through it wouldn't feel that way. With that said some new emotes would be nice.
