Dude F the thorn bounty
How in the hell did other hunters do this thing? Good shotgun? I'm having minimal luck. Stealth kill is like hit or miss. Stressful shit.

At the beginning Corrective Measure was my best friend, primary was epilogue crap because it was the only void primary at the time and a fusion rifle, took my like 11 games to do lol unlike some of my friends that go and do rumble together and do it in 3 or 4 matches but that's whack

I've only been focusing on playing a Hunter and when I got this bounty I didn't have the best weapon selection so it was definitely difficult. I ended up rolling a shotgun (Party Crasher, I think) for Void damage and Full Auto. After that it was a breeze...plus I just got better at PvP in general. In fact now I'm hooked.

For me it was Word of Crota, plus a few Nova Bombs for good measure... I feel I was rather lucky and got it done while just playing PvP with my friends at the weekend. Just play and enjoy and you'll get it done without realising.

I did the bounty in 5-6 matches with a void shotgun (Matador 64) and Truth. So yeah, good shotty is definitely an asset lol

Spent ages scraping 2-5 point per round, then suddenly started achieving 30-50 so last 200 points was done in less than an hour. Didn't mind the grind as it forced me to practice using differ weapons/tactics and has made be a better pvp player. Prior to this bounty I had hardly spent any time in the crucible. Now working on getting to level 3 just for the gear.

I got the thorn bounty before DB and have yet to finish it. Don't be ashamed.

3 RisposteFun Fact: The first part of the exotic bounty chain (complete summoning pits) can be accomplished alternatively by completing the shadow thief (didn't know this until I got the depleted hand cannon part after the strike was done)

Just did the whole bounty in 4 hours. For the void but I used WoC, void sniper & void HMG. Be smart & play it safe, don't rush in for kills & try and get as many HMG kills as possible..

I'm terrible in crucible and managed it. You'll get it. Atheon's Epilogue, as much as I like it, is only going to get you killed and lower your k/d unless you are just beast with AR's. Get a good void shotty and rocket launcher, play conservatively, and be patient! I just got word of Crota and am going for another Thorn. Felwinter's Lie can be rerolled with Void, which could help your cause. I think I used 2 to the Morgue. Good luck, it's worthy of the effort. Btw the Xyor strike is no walk in the park, you'll want help :)

In the meanwhile use Atheons Epilogue and Truth/void rocket launcher/corrective measure/ void machine gun. You'll get it in 3-4 hours if you're ok like me Oh and I forgot. Reroll matador for void and if you got crap lots of motes to spend, get shot package on it. Well hoped it helps

It's harder for a hunter. I did it a long time ago with no void primary. I used a nicer void shotgun and void machine gun. Use bladedancer and stick to high traffic areas and take out enemies. I found it doable by going back and forth between A and C in control. Make sure you have a 1+ kill ratio and you will get it.

I feel your pain...... this bounty is so much harder to finish now then it was back in the beginning cause so many pvp players use the thorn now in crucible. I've got these bounties on all 3 characters and just couldn't be bothered too finish them legit.

I used a void fusion rifle and corrective measure way back when. Keep at it, you'll get better. That bounty made me a lot better at pvp.

get the word of crota. Or just shotgun and make the most out of heavy ammo with a machine gun. I did it long ago with hunter before crota was out. just shotgun and machine gun.

I used atheons epilogue, predyths revenge and corrective measure. I camped heavy and didn't rush into any situations that would put me at a disadvantage. Play the edges of the map and camp if you need to. Any games where you're severely out classed you just camp it and try to pick people off when they are weak. Now days use a word of crota and try to roll a void jolders.

I did it with a 77 Wizard, corrective measure, and AE and sat in a corner like a scrub.

I did it with a void longbow synthesis sniper, and a FWC 'The Cure' rocket launcher. Mainly just played defensively and sniped everyone. The best maps for this were twilight gap, rusted lands, and shores of time. Just have to watch out for shotgun/last word rushers though.

I did it with shotguns and fusion rifles, but it was back when special ammo was more common than thorn was. Use whatever you are most comfortable with and camp. Always be close to special ammo spawns. If you can snipe play control since you know where people will be. Otherwise clash would probably be the best.

Atheon's epilogue, void fusion, void machine gun. Also if you have a void subclass, ability kills count toward it as well. [spoiler]Warlock with Voidfang Vestments spawns with grenade energy[/spoiler]
